David,
I was wondering if you are kin to Sarah Jane Moore/Rogers/Bennett from the Pruitt side?
I am researching my side to my g-grandmother Sarah Jane Moore/Rogers. She was married to my g-grandfather John A. Rogers. I only know this much about him. He was born in Alabama, some how ended in Texas, married Sarah Moore 1855, died about 1859 because my g-grandmother married Richmond Oliver Bennett. The marriage with John A. Rogers they had two boys, William and John Rogers.
My search is to know who John A. Rogers parents where. When he died, where he died, how he died, where he was buried etc....
I know my g-grandmother had to receive his death certificate. Just wondering what happened to it.
John A. Rogers has been a brick wall for 20+years for me. I want to find out at least where he died.
Any help I would be blessed with.

My father was Jesse Edward "Pete" Pruett, son of James Andrew Pruett & Grace Cook. James parents were Samuel Jackson Pruett & Frances Isabel Brooks. Samuel's parents were Samuel John Pruett & Jane Crabtree. Samuel's parents were John Pruett & Catherine Pyeatt. John's parents were Samuel Pruett & Catherine [?], this Samuel's parent appear to be Thomas Pruett III & Sarah ?. Thomas' parents were Thomas Pruett Jr. & Mary. Thomas Jr's parents were Thomas Pruett Sr. & ?. Thomas Pruett Sr's parents were Henry J Pruitt & Ann Fields.
My brother [Pruett] had his DNA tested and it has connected us back to Henry J. Pruett & Ann Fields. Anyone looking for their Pruett lineage should check out Pruett/Pruitt/Prewitt site at http://groups.ancestry.com/group/60509555

HI. My name is actually Krissi Smith. Lula Belle Caudill Pruitt was my grandmother I unfortunately never knew. She was my mother's mother. My mother never knew her either,for my mom was only 25 days old when Lula passed from TB. I don't know much at all about any family from mom (she passed Oct 17, 1988. I was 17.) Bert's real father was Lucian "Bert" Pruitt born in Green Co., KY...Are you related?

| Seeking Info ON Harrah/Hurriah Prewitt
Noticed a question from "Okies Kid" about a Harrah. We are looking for Hurriah who is said to have been father of Wm Alfred Prewitt 1797 NC who lived in TN then AR. Wm Alfred's son Peter Ogan Preuett lived in Brown Co TX during 1870s, & some family still lives there.
