I was born, raised, and spent most of my life in Arizona, but have resided for the past 18 years in New Mexico. I discovered Find-a-Grave about a year ago, and think it's a great place to spend time doing one of my favorite hobbies, genealogy. There is some comfort in knowing the final resting place of one's ancestors--I have discovered many of those places for mine, and will continue to search for more. It also gives one a good feeling to know that he/she might be helping someone else out in their similar endeavors. Some of the lines I am researching are: Morris, Norris, Beals, Birdno, Wyman, Roberts, Dyer, Weech, Ritch, Spikes, Bowman, Bellows, Dall, Siphres, Goss, Boss, Fowler, Anderson, Karnes. I will be willing to take pictures in my present county of Hidalgo, NM--also my home county of Cochise, Arizona for anyone who needs information from those areas. | |

 | Beverly Richins Porter Sue, Thanks, for the links for Beverly Porter. Richard | | | Michael Stecker
 | RE: Robert & Josephine King Hi Sue: It was easy to find the grave because the stones in section 78 were well marked with the plot number, which is not always the case. It was centrally located between the Chapel and flag area. Apparently someone left a flower there which also helped and added some color to the photo.

 | RE: Rue Chatfield Memorial Hello Sue, I was the one that added Rue's memorial I was unable to change the 'Anonymous' but I will try again. The person who added the picture of the cemetery contacted me many years ago asking permission to do so and I was grateful for that but I have not heard from her in years, Which sister of Ercel's is your mother? I had met several of them during my marriage to Rue. I do thank you for your photo, my sons and I do have several pictures of his marker but didn't ever download them to put on his page. I was not very computer savvy years ago. I moved from Arizona about 5 years ago and my sons are in the military and also live out of state. Again thank you for caring. | RE: Hello Hey Sue, My connection is through Gladys Morris Hopper. She was married to my cousin Vestal"Vic"Hopper. My great aunt Mattie Stewart married Arthur Lee Hopper, Vic's father. My cousin Cleo Hopper is Vic's half sister. The boys were young when their mother Tee died and Aunt Mattie pretty well raised them as her own. If you would like to repost the photo of your grandfather so that you have credit I will be happy to remove the one I put on from ancestry that you posted. If I can be of any help please let me know. Have a great evening.

 | RE: Thomas Benton Elrod When you visit here in March, I would recommend the Stevens Museum in Salem. It's a great place for family research. I don't know any details for Thomas Benton Elrod as my line is through Eli Elrod. I hope you enjoy your trip here!.Added by Phantasm on Jan 25, 2012 4:07 PM | | |
