Please let me know of any additions/corrections to the memorials I manage. I'm happy to transfer memorials I manage as long as they aren't my kin.|
I'd like to learn more about my ancestors (Heath, Orndorff, Summers, Wilhelm - WV, Standifer, Mullins, Bull, Chandler - TN) and my husband's family (Murphy, Phelps, Domer). I'd like to learn about headstones and symbols carved in them.

You are welcome. I'm not sure how he got the wrong year on his stone, but I guess it happens more than we realize.

I would love to have contact with someone who has information and/or pictures. I would love to have any pictures of any of them but especially ones with Mammie Susie in them. I would love to email a copy of the one I have to you or your Uncle Dewey. We are lucky to still have our father with us and I'm sure he remembers some of them and would love pictures. Our father is Edward Gibson and he is the third born of Mammie Susie and Ira.
My personal email address is: email@example.com and I would love to hear from you. I am excited to talk to someone from my Mammie Susie's family.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I agree, it is nice to make contact with kin. I am sorry if it sounded like I thought there was an error. I thought you might have information I didn't ever know :-).
Our Mammie Susie, as she asked to be called by us, was a wonderful, devoted, loving person. She loved all of her family and talked of her brothers and sisters often. I think she missed them a lot. I especially remember her talking of Commie, Clay, and Claude and Rosie. We found a picture of my grandparents with one of her brothers and we were trying to identify which brother it was. I think it was Claude, but I searched Commie on google and came across this wonderful site.
You are doing a wonderful job and I would never want to interfer with that, but thank you for the offer and please keep up the good work. If I can be of any help, please let me know.

Thank you so much for maintaining this, but in the paragraph for Susie S Standifer Gibson she is referred to as Lucy, as in Lucy and Ira had children...... I think this is just an oversight but she was never referred to as Lucy - just Susie.
Thank you so much,
Her granddaughter - Wanda Gibson Owenby
|Roger Warren||#9121781 - James Mullins|
The Jame Mullins (#9121781) you identify as James Riley Mullins is truly the James Mullins of Co. G, 16th TN Infantry Regiment, not who you claim him to be. He was captured 25 Nov 1863 at Ringgold, GA and died at Rock Island 15 Mar 1864 of small pox. James was likely the son of James and Matilda Brown of Overton Co., TN.
James M., William R., and William W. Mullens (sp.)are the only Mullens (Mullins) who served in 5th (McKenzie's) TN Cavalary Regiment. There was also 5th (McClellan's)TN Cavalry Battalion and no Mullens nor Mullins served with them.
|AJ & Ray Cassel||Tobery's|
Very good memorials for the Tobery family members.
Appreciate the time you have taken on these memorials.
|Portia Brayfield||Laura Burke Mullins. Grant's sister|
Many researchers, including me, have my great grandmother Laura Burke Mullins as Riley Mullins' daughter. That can't be correct because he died before she was born. I found your site for Grant that says Rolley Mayes was the father of Sherman, Grant, Clint, and Laura. Laura's daughter Rosa Jane Burke O'Dell died in Missouri at a young age after giving birth to her sixth child. I know very little about her or her mother's family. Do you have information about Rittie and Rolley and sources that I can copy and/or research? I would like to know more about the Mayes family and my ancestors in that line.
Thank you for the information on Find a Grave.

|camperpup||Marie Ratliff Seals|
In my research of the Seals family I came across an obituary for Marie Ratliff Seals. thought she might be related to you or your family. The obituary refers to the Seals Branch church and Seals Branch Cemetery. I can't find either in Claiborne County. I tend to think it could be the Seal Chapel Church/Cemetery. Would you happen to know if it the same?
