Would you please change burial location of James Adams Randall, memorial # 157135243 to Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, Birmingham, Van Buren County, Iowa. Mr. Randall is currently listed as buried in "Birmingham Cemetery" but there is no such cemetery. Back in the day, people referred to the ME Cemetery as the Birmingham Cemetery, and this is the root of the problem. Thank you.

I stayed around after the tour to look for the grave of this man, who I was unable to find before. He had been cremated, & has no stone. His ashes were placed w/ his wifes grave, which I found. He had been in the Civil War from 9/2/1862-3/23/1863. He was w/ the 75th Ill. infantry regiment, company K. Is there a way to get him a military marker? He has nothing marking his site. He was in rhe Battle Mountain Sanitarium in S. Dakota for disabled vets for several yrs. How do you go about this? All vets should be remembered for their service. Thank you. I'm glad we could meet today.

I'm happy I found someone that knows Dan. I certainly don't! But, u know Iowans!!! We're the friendly state, & we don't want anyone coming in, esp. w/ such important ties to the state, & not feeling welcome! Id u can check his messages he sent me, he is free after the 1:30 ceremony, His ph. # is 510-969-9355, & arrives Fri. The 13th. He'd like to tour Woodland, & see the site for Mitchell Atkinson., hiis family. Are u able to do that? I'm new to this, as u know, Archie is giving a tour from 1-3 that day which is where I'll be. Maybe, he can come to Woodland after the ceremony & meet Archie? Let me know., please. What do you mean u have Woodland for a month? Can I help you in any way? I wantt to learn about this wonderful historical place! I have been going there daily to walk about & learn some landmarks in order to know where blocks & lots are, so I'm not so lost getting photos. Thank you so much!!!

Tou talked about a group you're w/ & I wondered if it had anything to do w/ this man. I saw a message by him that he's coming to Carlisle for a dedication(?). His gg grandfather's pic is in a stained glass window, & he plans to visit the grave licated in block 1. I thought you may know of him w/ his history & what you've told me of yours. Jeffery Vallient
SOLDIERS PLAT!!! You must be the only one that knows that abbreviation!!! Arxhie didn't even know it. Is it a specific site? I'm trying to learn Woodland, but, she's tough!! I'm
D love to meet you two for some tips. I'm just -0 min. From Woodland. Anytime but Thurs. also, thee is a NA Canine that Katie Lee did, bur no info but birth & death dates. And no grave stone. How do you get these names--just entries in the Woodland book w/o other info? Of course, ancestry has lots of Canine's, but w/o info or a first name.... Impossible. If I'm doing a photo, which is how I'm starting, I like to find info. I have found several errors on Find A Grave sheets I try to get corrected or add info. Thank you for your quick response!!! It's misspelled? That would be great news--maybe he'll turn up!!! I spoke w/ Archie, & he had never heard of SP either for a location. So maybe it's because of the type-o? I can't wait to see what his new name is!!! I hope he has a HUGE gravestone!!!! I get dibs if he does!! Say, have you looked for the Bass sisters? I don't think they have markers. I will see if Jay can go out w/ me again & locate them & Hosler. And Temperance. We need some new names!!! I'm tired of looking for these!!!! I don't think the infants have markers, either.

I was in the Glendale Office today to check the location of this grave. I was told that there were 2 others looking for this grave, one of them was you. They spoke very highly of you, as you had done a lot for Woodland, including the bluebird nesting boxes. But, as you know, they don't know what the abbreviation for SP stands for, therefore, do not know where this grave is located. I feed w/ the age, the grave is non existent or underground. I think it should come off the list, if you agree. They were going to ask Archie to see if he had any ideas as to what SP stood for. Unfortunately, as you probably know, I couldn't find any info on this man in ancestry.com. That's disappointing, since obviously we try to keep their memories alive.

I will continue to look for this gravesite. My time period has expired, however, my determination has not. I need to walk each section carefully as there are graves covered over w/ grass and soil. I will keep looking.
