RE: Garthe
What I put on the Garthe memorial page was information I have from my cemetery records for Sac Bay Cemetery in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I've gone through my family history records and have nothing. There is also nothing in our published "Our Heritage" book. Give me a little while to research our plat maps to see if I can perhaps find their residence. Also I have some census material, I'll check that also.

Claude Walker
Addie,
The last few years while doing volunteer photography for Find a Grave, I surely have found many cases of no headstones, misspelled names and incorrect dates. However, the benefits far outweigh these difficulties when it comes to gathering information for families. It has been a wonderful resource for me in my genealogy.
Blessings,
Becky

Claude Walker
Addie,
I found a grave for Norval Walker and added a picture today. He is buried in the same plot area, (Grave 7, L-175 Section B) as Claude Walker (Grave 1, L-175, Section B). I walked all around there but I was unable to find a marker for Claude. If I am out there again, I will look further. Sorry to not be of more help.

Garthe
Addie, I am a researcher for the Garden Peninsula Historical Society in Michigan as well as my own family researcher. Are we talking about the Garthe family from Michigan? Let me know and I'll go through our history files and send info to you.

RE: Norval Walker
Sadly, we had no luck in locating him so will have to make another trip out there. Not sure of the cemetery layout even though you have a plot number. We arent giving up. =)

RE: Norval Walker
I am very glad that we could help. My kids made the 17 mile trip yesterday from Spokane to enjoy the day and help someone out. I am thankful we could!
The cemetery is in a beautiful location sitting up on a hill with the big pines, the gentle breeze, warm sun and surrounded by rolling wheat fields.
