Holy Cross Cemetery Photo Requests
Please call the cemetery office and ask for the grave location. Photo requests cannot be fulfilled without Section, Range/Row and Lot numbers as cemetery is too big.

RE: Frances Douglass Wilson Coogler
She was right beside her husband in the old part of cemetery. Her marker has been placed recently.

Dwight, I am so sorry no one has been able to find this headstone. There are so many old ones that are just totally unreadable.

I will be going back and will continue to search for it just in case.

RE: Siemon Hildebrand
Hi Dwight,
Glad I could help.
The only other Hildebrand I see is a plot for a William Hildebrand and he and his wife's headstone is already up on F.A.G.
I have maps of about half of the plots in St. John's so Anna could be in the other part of the cemetery.
Simon is in a single plot as far as I can tell from the plot map I have. There is a Dan Rake to his left and there is no name on the plot to his right. I will check if there is a headstone next to Simon the next time I am there, as I don't recall if there was. The plot could be empty or if occupied, a marker may have never have been put up for that person. If it's unmarked, you'd have to contact the church or the cemetery office to see if it's in use and who is there.
I'll let you know what I find out on my next trip out.
Denise

RE: George Washington Hodges
The address I gave you is NOT the cemetery, but rather where the coordinates took us....which was at the end of a driveway for the address I gave you. I assume they may be Hodges relatives, but if not, they may know where the cemetery is and could give you directions you could send on to me.

Are we related?
I notice your family tree comes up as clues on mine. We must be related in some way. The Wilsons in abbeville are complicated, because there are so many of them. Thanks a lot for your help. Harriet
