Several years ago, my grandmothers kept articles, lots of stories to tell and pictures to show. I still have my very first scrapbook that my mam-maw helped me with. I treasure that to this day. My grandmothers gathered their information by hand for they didn't have a computer. After their passing, I gathered their information and went to work on carrying on their legacy. I researched family articles and photos and vital information. I have a family tree program of over 12,000 names including American Revolution Veterans, Civil War Veterans, WWI and WWII Veterans, Vietnam, Korean, etc. Captain Martin Van Buren Bates and Anna Swan Bates was "The World's Tallest Married Couple." He is my 3rd Great-GrandUncle. I have been Bates Reunion Coordinator in Seville, OH where the Bates home place and burial are. I am also a member of the Abner Baker Chapter #1404 United Daughters of the Confederacy in Knoxville, TN.|

|Eileen Shelton||Maynard Bates,|
I am so sorry about the blanks, they flew before I wrote my explanation. Could you please delete so as to not clog up your page?
The additional information was sent by that person so I notated it on the memorial. If you follow the links you will see that she has linked to Maynard Bates.
As for transfers I follow the Find A Grave rules.
Thank you for your interest. If there is anything I can add, Please let me know through the edit button.

Yes, I am related. Ephraim is my great grand uncle, a brother to my great grandfather, Emanuel Crawford.
Emanuel and Ann Crawford Crawford had, among others, my grandfather, James Monroe Crawford.
Ann Crawford was a daughter of John and Ann
Dalton Crawford, so I got a double injection of
Crawford blood there.
James Monroe Crawford was the 2nd husband of my
grandmother, Maggie Poe Crawford, and they had,
among others, my father, who one would think was
named Ace Crawford, Sr., but no one seems to know
for sure. Some say Asa, and some say Acy. The
state couldn't provide a copy of his birth
certificate, but it's a pretty safe bet that it
Ace Crawford, Jr.
(It's what my birth certificate says.)
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR HAT!!
I still have not heard from Find A Grave about deleting this memorial. I am sorry it is taking so long. Will be in touch as soon as there is an answer.
Just sent the email. I know there has been a big problem with people having memorials transferred to them and deleting them for various reasons, and I think Find A Grave may be doing the deletions. Don't know when I will hear back, but will keep in touch about it.
