I have no idea who the two people are. Sorry.
|Gloria Kidder||Steward Cemetery Greene Co., Ohio|
I think we know each other, "not sure". Re: Nancy Story's records for Stewart Cemetery. The Greene Co. Historical Society has records of the people buried there. Call them at 937-372-4606 they may be able to give you more information.
I didn't add the memorial so I do not know where Sheryl Shaw obtained the records for her, however, if you will notice on the front page of the cemetery there is even a layout of the burials, so someone kept records somewhere. Either the township trustees have a record of all burials there and shared them with Sheryl or she got them from the Historical Society.
The stones disappear fast!! What was there last year, may not be there this year. They mow and knock them down, and many are falling from storms and get buried into the ground and mowed over. It's a sad fact that needs someone's attention. But I have been asked to locate many stones there and visited at least five times. I have taken levers to turn fallen stones over, unstacked stones that were piled on top of each other, and still have not located many that have been requested in the past. If they are there, they are buried, broken, or unreadable. Several volunteers have repeatedly been sent to this cemetery over the same names, over and over again. Though your Nancy Story is a new request, as many times as I have been there, it probably is not available.
