|I am currently an active field researcher for The Sequoyah County Historical Society here in Oklahoma. I have been an active field researcher doing genealogical research since 1986, and have posted help on several websites over the years including CherokeeBlood, Genealogy.com, Ancestry.com, USGenweb, among others and listed as a researcher for several County links in different states. I do volunteer lookups in these areas, and have been happy to photograph and canvass cemeteries when I'm in that area. I usually do not need to be, and often not credited, since I'm already there and happy to contribute to the preservation. I do post in cases of preservation or relationship, thus not a "mega contributor" to Find A Grave. I am working on several historical and lost cemeteries and family plots here in the OK and ARK areas presently, that we are losing at a rapid rate. Many are either Native American or African American cemeteries, often lost to past climate or civilization, or vandalized. I utilize detailed historical materials to substantiate my findings and field work, and often interview seniors for this purpose before posting my materials. I am happy to surrender memorials to family members and descendents, as requested.|

I'd like to get more info on my Great Great Grandfather J.W, Gray and my Great Grandfather John Wesley Gray. I hope I'm not confusing the two of them.

Hi Kathy, I can't remember what my e-mail to you was about. At your request, a year or two ago I removed pictures of Lelia and her children from their findagrave memorials. Lelia was the youngest daughter from my great grandmother's 1st marriage to William O. Price. Is that still your wish, that their pictures not be included on their memorial?
|Clella Stiles||Lucinda Miller Girty|
I was pleasantly surprised to find Lucinda Miller Girty on findagrave.com. I love that site.
I found the following:
On the 1867 census of Illnois District I find Simon Girty 28, Lucy Girty 26, George Girty 11, James Girty 8, Watty Girty 6 and Samice Girty 2 a female not sure of the name.
It doesn't list Isaac or John, but they must be the same family. I am interested in communicating with any of our Miller cousins. My husband is a descendant of George W Miller, brother to Lucinda's father.

Hi Kathy - I see you have added some records for the Cemetery on Redwood in Sallisaw, OK. Would you be able to let me know if you have been to the cemetery in person, or how you were able to add these records? I am trying to find out more information on the people buried there. Thanks for any information! -- Stephanie Brown

regarding the Reynolds memorials on findagrave.com
For the photos for Hooley & June Sparks! Since I am not able to change the way the cemetery is listed through Find A Grave, I did put a note on each page saying the cemetery is not in Brushy but is in Seven Oaks. I appreciate your time and for sharing the photos. I would like to ask permission to copy the photos for my files and to share with other family members on our family pages at MyFamily.com. As with all the photos I receive on here I always give correct photo credit and also mention find a grave as well if given permission. Thanks again!
