RE: Frank Montgomery Coombs #92488586
Merideth ... thanks ... pretty sure we've talked before. I try to stay on top of new Coombs entries and provide info contributors often don't have time to research. Anthony was my 1st cousin, six times removed. I have his birth date as 1751 based on his memorial stone age when he died ... have posted the photo to Find A Grave. #132251020

Lots of Coombs' in Maine as the "family founder" moved there from Nova Scotia in 1696. We've proved with DNA that his name was Antoine Comeau and he Anglicised it to Anthony Coombs (1661-1728). After many years thinking I was of English origin it turns out we were French ... must explain my love for wine?
All the best,
Barry Coombs

RE: Coombs Family pix
You are welcome, Meredith. My grandmother was a Coombs which is why I added the photos. Someday I might figure out if your relatives are my relatives too. Find A Grave is all about teamwork, adding memorials, photos, and information. I'm glad I could help you and your family.
