Hello!
I'm related to the Fike's thru the McKimmy surname. I see you have a Memorial for Rachel Fike. Just a note... I have sent several Edits which, would help several of your Find A Grave memorials be updated.

If you could click-on your Name under where it shows Logged in as: You will see a Small Tab. Which, shows Edits to Review. This is something new & with one quick Click stating Accept. Everything that just showed a Simple Birth Year or Death Year on a Memorial. Can be more updated if you choose to Accept, Declined or Ignore are the Choices.

Hope you have a great day & thank you!

Henry Osborn
Do you know if this Henry Osborn of the NY 1 Artillery is closely related to the James Henry Osborn who served in Co F of the NY 75 Infantry. Both men were counted in the 1890 Veterans Census of Geneva and Greendale Townships, Midland Co MI. The Infantry man evidently moved away, reportedly dying in Aldin MI and perhaps buried in Clarksville.

When I ran across these two Osborn men in the same township I tried finding two graves in the county without success.

I am working on trying to amass a correct listing of all of the Civil War veterans buried in Midland County. We are verifying records, cleaning stones and photographing them as we go along. We have a small committee so it probably will take us most of next year to finish the project since we still have most of the township cemeteries to do.

I very much appreciate whatever information you could provide about the two men. That's a beautiful stone your Henry has -- it looks quite new.
