This was my great grandfather- my grandfather was Thomas Reese, my father Arthur Reese.
I am a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy because Calvin fought in the war between the states. I am trying to have a confederate ceremony for him. I already have clearance thru the church to have it. Now I am working on purchasing a southern cross for his grave and the local chapter of the sons of the confederacy there in Conover may participate along with my chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy here in Concord, and the local chapter there as well. I think it will be a great ceremony and a great way to honor him for his service. I know there are plenty of Calvin Reese decendents, I just don't know who all they are or how to get in touch with them. But if anyone is interested in attending the ceremony I will be glad to pass on the information to you whenever we get it all scheduled. I will be checking back here for messages. Thanks alot

You are so welcome. It breaks my heart when I see things like this and I wonder how on earth people deal with that pain. My mother died a natural death and that was painful enough. I can't even imagine the magnitude of this loss.
