HI - thanks for the nice info you put on Find a Grave. Alice Sadie Kelly's mother was one of my "aunts"... Alice was a d/o Jonas Smyth Kelly and Tillitha or Tellitha HELTON. Tillitha's parents were Reuben Helton and Nancy Burnett, married in Montgomery Co VA, Sep 1820 with Reuben being the son of Samuel Hylton and Elizabeth Harris (mar in Patrick Co VA, 1797) and Samuel Hylton being the son of John Bryant Hilton and Obedience Coke/Cox. These Heltons/Hiltons lived in Tumbling Cove, Washington Co VA and Tillitha's sister, Elizabeth Helton married in Washington Co VA, 1859, William Campbell Henderson, s/o Thos. Henderson and Helen Ley, Scottish immigrants to NYC, 31 Mar 1820 and thence to VA. Here is the family of Jonas Smith/Smyth Kelly in the 1880 census, Saltville TWP, Washington Co VA. IO have transferred Leslie Hicks to you. Leslie is related to me by marriage but I think it is more important that an ancestor have ownership of the memorioal./ I will be looking forward to adding additional information to my records if you can add anything.
My Family tree is more of a grove. I also add the extended families whenever possible. Let me know if I have any other Hicks you are interested in.
