RE: You went to Germany? Wow!
Looking forward to seeing Munich for the first time. Took a tour of Nuremburg and still get chills!

RE: You went to Germany? Wow!
My daughter moved to Frankfurt in 2000 (with a boyfriend at the time), then met and married a German and they have have four children. I've spent the last 15 years flying to Frankfurt several times a year. Looking forward to a new experience - they're moving to Munich this summer. Where did you live?

RE: EP Nat'l Cemetery Requests
Thanks so much for the explanation. I wasn't aware of this, partly because I've never seen one at Eagle Point. I'll take care of these photo requests for you today. Have a wonderful day.

EP Nat'l Cemetery Requests
Hi - You mentioned, along with pics of the grave markers, that you would like a pic of the USA Veterans plaque. I'm not exactly sure what you're asking for. Could you please explain? I'll be going out tomorrow to take pics. If I don't hear from you by then, perhaps I can add that photo later.

RE: Thank-you for your military services!
Thank you right back for your lifetime of service!
Good luck with your genealogy searches. I will let you know if the gal from the Round Table comes up with anything.

RE: Cousin Tom?
I am not really into facebook. My amazon tree is still private. Still needs many corrections and updates before I make in private. If you are interested in a particular relative I would not mind sharing with you what I have on that person.

RE: Re: John Gucker
It does happen now and then. Mystery, yup. Usually explainable with a bit of research. A lot of times one of the two doesn't have a death date and one does. Sometimes people buy a lot with the family, move elsewhere or have a first marriage, and later in life dies someplace else and gets buried with a second spouse, and the previously purchased lot just sits empty but has a previously purchased marker on it. In this case it's odd because one was a military marker.
He is here Round Table which is a Civil War record site.
It appears John was either married twice or Anna went under her middle name Mary or they called her Marie. He married Anna January 11, 1859.
But in the 1870 and 1880 census it looks like he was with a Marie and had 8 kids and they were ALL born in Ohio. So Indiana is pretty close.
His military marker in Wisconsin has no dates on it, but some records show his dates.
I know for a fact that stone is in Pioneer Rest. About the only thing you could do is contact that Indiana cemetery and see what factual info they have or go to that county courthouse and find death and/burial records for John.
That Indiana stone almost looks too new to be one from 1897. Wonder if some family member had a marker made and had it placed by his wife? So many people do that and it makes things hard.
I am going to check with Mary Lou who has all the records for the Round Table site and see if she knows anything different.
Good luck!

RE: Cousin Tom?
My grandfather, Clarence Glover, was a 1st cousin to Kirk Glover. Kirk's father James Glover was a brother to Clarence Glover's father George Glover. Guess that would make me a cousin to Sally and Susan.
