RE: Rizley Cemetery
Donna,
I'm so glad you were able to use the information from the stones I added. Rizley Cemetery is about 3 miles from our house, but it is completely surrounded by private property. My husband was granted permission years ago and he and I walked back. It is rough going for almost half a mile--briers, weeds, woods, etc. We had originally gone back to take a picture of one stone that had been requested, but upon seeing the size, and that some of the stones were already unreadable, I decided to document all the stones we could read. My husband says that Bill Sonnefield is fine with people crossing his property to go to the cemetery as long as they are considerate. There really isn't a clear path to the cemetery so it might be difficult finding your way. Let me know if you need/want help getting back to it and we'll show you the way.
You mention you are related to the Cromwells--there is a Cromwell Cemetery about 1 mile from Rizley Cemetery. My husband has been back to it, and he says he took photos of the 2 broken stones he found there, but there's just not much left. He says it might take him a while to find the photos though, so it could be a while before I add them to Find A Grave.
I wanted to thank you for your wonderful letter--that is exactly why I have started adding stones to Find A Grave.
