Are you connected? I am researching for my friend. Her OFurey/Furey/Fury family settled in NE then Iowa. If you are, would love to share/compare history with you of what she knows of her family in NE and Iowa.. If you aren't, then thanks a million for your hard work on Find A Grave. If it weren't for loving careing people like yourself, thousands of loved ones would be lost to their families forever.
So, a big thanks. and have a great summer day.

Thank you so much for this photo of Peter's grave. He was my husband's gr-grandfather. I have been searching for his grave for a long time, and have been unable to travel to Barrhead.
Good morning Linda :)
See the link on my profile page for the Alberta Heritage Digitization Project(ourfutureourpast). I emailed them, and as long as we transcribe the newspaper articles, and don't copy and paste, we have permission to use them in our memorials. The newspapers of the larger centres like Red Deer, Camrose, etc. have tons of district news as well. ie in the Red Deer newspapers, you can find news columns, that include obits, for Waskasoo, Bentley, Eckville, Sylvan Lake, etc.
The AHDP website isn't searchable like the Peel library, so is takes time to research, but has a lot more years scanned, ie Red Deer 1904-1949. It's so nice to be able to complete memorials and it help's with links, too.
Hope this helps. Have a great day!

Another update. Correction to my April update I have located Nelson as a WW1 veteran and from his draft pages his birthdate is May 6, 1893. Born in Paisley Ontario. His wife was my Aunt. Working on updating my own family tree.
that sounds so much like something I would do. Glad to know I am not alone!
