|JB Jacks||Looking for info|
My wife is the grand-daughter of Sam Harber Rodgers and Irene Lynch Rodgers of Brown County, TX and we are interested in any Rodgers or Lynch family history available.

I think I get it....it looks like a flag, and a pouch, perhaps for her husband's belongings, or bullets that he would have carried with him in the war? I will look online and see what comes up.
Do you have any idea who her Leonard grandfather was?

Question 1: Can you tell me if, in the photo of her, is it a shawl that she has over her skirt in the foreground, or just the edge of the oval cut mat causing that frayed-looking edge effect?
Questin 2: If you have a photo of the broach part of her pearl necklace, I can see it better to retouch. If not, I will do what I can. :)
Question 3: Are you related to her? If so, I can send you a retouch of the photo.
Working on this photo, with some others.

Although maps of the area repeatedly and apparently incorrectly used the name of "Blue Spring" for the community that is now Hill City, GA, there is evidence that "Blue Springs" is the correct spelling. The name used on the Postmark for the town was "Blue Springs." Also, Blue Springs is the name used in the book by Lulie Pitts (1934) History of Gordon County, GA. The 1910, 1920, and 1930 censuses use the name of Blue Springs Militia District for the area as well. I hope this helps.

Harlon - You left me this message on a previous inquiry -
The death and burial information, that I recorded for Calvin, came from the following source:
The family record of Minnie (Holcomb) Farrar, eldest daughter of J. C. & Etta Holcomb, of Dallas TX. It was typed by Mildred R. Hicks, daughter of R. L. Holcomb, of Waco TX, on 15 October 1968.
My question is: Is there a way for me to obtain a copy of her original record - maybe library, contact descendent etc - thank you

Find A Grave memorial for Will Franklin.#10156990.
I checked the death certificate for him and he was listed as J.W. Franklin with different birth year and different death date. I added the cert. information in his bio. I can send you a copy of it, if you wish, but need email address.

Her sister, Mary Catherine, was my gr.gr. .grandma, married to Levi Selby. I have searched for a long time for a photo of Mary Catherine, but only have one of Levi and of John & Malinda. Does anyone in your family have one of Mary?
