Linda,
after looking at the birth date with several different magnifying glasses and three of us looking together, I have to agree with you that the actual date is Oct. 17th so we were both right. Never hurts to have more than one magnifying glass and others eyes looking because you never can tell what you may find. Wish I had a nickel for every time I made an error:)

Jane Casiway Higgerson
I am interested in the photograph that you added to the memorial for Jane Casiway Higgerson Guymon Robinson, buried at Ashley Cemetery in Washington County, Illinois. Although the tombstone was erected in 1989, I was unaware of it until now, and I was wondering whether you could inform me as to who the granddaughter is who was responsible for erecting it. I am a descendent of Jane's brother, Samuel Wesley Higgerson, and if you could tell me who this granddaughter is, or even the great- and great-great grandchildren are, I would be interested in contacting them in order to learn more about that branch of the family tree. Any information you could give would be most appreciated. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Thomas Higgerson

RE: Charlotte Easterly Ayre
Hi Linda,

Thank you so much. I am not at home now, and won't be for awhile so I do not have my records in front of me. It seems to me that the link to Charlotte is through an ancestor named Nancy Ayres Campbell. Her cemetery stone says "Ayres" but it should be Ayre, it is a newer stone and someone was a little overzealous and didn't confirm that it should be Ayre and not Ayres. Oh well, what are you going to do!
If you would like to email me any info you have or a copy of the photo, please feel free to email me directly at bsutrae@sbcglobal.net I have access to that email and will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you again for tracking me down, and I look forward to hearing from you at your convenience.

Kind regards,

Tanya Davis

RE: Charlotte Easterly Ayre
HI Linda,

Thanks for contacting me. Yes, Charlotte is family to me. I would be happy to have a photo of her if you would like to find a home for the photo you have.

Any additional information you could provide about Charlotte would be most appreciated as well.

Please let me know how I can repay you for the photo, whether it be mailing costs or ??. I will be happy to share the photo with the family at our next family reunion scheduled for July 2012! I know everyone will be thrilled!

Thanks so much again for contacting me!!

Kind regards,
Tanya Davis

Thanks very much Linda for all the efforts. May I use the photo for my family page on Ancestry.com?

If you look very closely at the headstone dates you will see that the birth dates says 10/13/1840 and the death date says 2/16/1888. Sometime it is very hard to see the date well especially when there is a glare. I used a magnifying glass on your picture as I had the dates above and thought my dates might be wrong.
