RE: Thomas Bassett
Photos on memorial pages are thumbnails. Click on them to enlarge them and reveal captions. The caption for the Bassett photo is:

Green-Wood Cemetery
Section 59, Lot 4070, Grave #21.
INSCRIPTION
Across the top of the stone, these words appear:
To the memory of William T. Baker
The stone is inscribed on its front and back, but the inscriptions are illegible.
[NOTE: Thomas Bassett was interred here on Oct 18 1866. William Baker does not appear in the cemetery's online burial list.]

RE: Naomi Powers
Do you live in the PB area? The cemetery is severely neglected and I am concerned about the owners bulldozing it and no one will ever know. Only a few people are still living who can actually find the cemetery. You have to get permission to cross the properties to get to it. You have to cross several fields, a creek, some cattle crossing grates (and make sure you close the gates) to get to it. Then you have to know what you are looking for to find it. The Old Military Road has a locked gate on it, so you can't get in that way. I still do not understand how the owners can put a gate across a public road, but they have. There are only a few tombstones in the cemetery. Most graves were marked by field stones and you can see about where the graves are, but don't know who is buried where.

Hi Babydw,

Margaret's memorial has been transferred to you. She was a friend of my husband's aunt, Chelta.

Have a great reunion!

Best wishes,
judy :)

Hi Babydw,

Your uncle's memorial has been transferred to you as you requested. Swede was very well known and respected in the community. He certainly ran a "tight ship" in his movie theater. The time he spent in the running of his theater gave a lot of people pleasure. Movies just aren't as much fun in the big commercial type theaters!

Best wishes,
High Plains :)

I found a William Bartlett, with a wife Ladonna. I couldn't find a Wallace. Do you think it could have been William?

RE: Catherine Bartlett
Mount Hope is 196 acres and contains 370,000+ graves. Without a detailed plot location, it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
