Lula Word Memorial
Joe
I had thought you already removed it but I now realize I only did the search for San Fernando cemetery when I did the search I forgot that I came across your memorial when I search just for the name without the cemetery name. Sorry for the confusion.

Lula Word Memorial
Joe You could of kept your memorial and I would of removed mine and add the picture to yours. I just thought it was too close not to ask. I transferred the memorial to you I believe they should belong to family members. Thanks for being a part of find a grave.

Charles Black
Joe,
My husband would like to know how you are related to his father.

I know that you said you were his cousin, but if you could give us the names to connect the dots, Clyde would appreciate it.

Clyde was a Marine also, and so was my father. Just had to leave the Marine emblem.

Thanks,
Claire

Joe,

Charles O. Black is my husband Clyde Black's father. We found this and decided to leave the Marine emblem.

RE: Thomas J. Bilton Tombstone
I will go and check the records again as well. I will also try to take a picture from the headstone towards the front entrance & vise verse, just so that this situation can be straightened out! I will on top of that go to a 2nd location, just to make sure that I am not wrong (case of mistaken Cemetery) I will keep you informed, if the weather keeps up (no rain) I will try to take care of this issue this weekend

Best regards,

Sandra Moore

Parade Bilton
Joe,

This is the reply I got from Sandra Moore. She is the one who took the photo of the gravestone.

RE: Parazide Bilton
Hello there Sue

I am sorry that the picture has caused some Confusion, but the picture was in fact taken at the Straley Cemetery, I personally have taken the picture and all other pictures that I post here on Find A Grave. I am not sure why your family members would say that she was buried elsewhere, the only thing that I could think of that could have happened is that she was originally buried at Straley and then moved to a different location, but the Headstone remained in original condition! I will make a few phone calls this week to see if I can clear this Question up, will get back to you by Friday, alright? Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you

Best regards,
Sandra

RE: Straley Cemetery
I created the memorial in Straley Cemetery based on the Lampasas County Death Records Index (hard copy created from the actual death records) and the online record at FamilySearch.org, both of which has her burial place as Straley Cemetery. The records do not indicate her father's name, but her mother's maiden name is listed as Bowen. I think her middle name may have been Bowen, from her mother. On the marriage certificate, her name is listed at Paris A. Perryhouse. It is possible that she was married before marrying Thomas J. Bilton, but she was just 24-25 when they married in 1867.

I did send a message to the photographer and ask if she knew for sure that the photo was taken in Straley Cemetery.

That is about all I can do. I am not willing to remove the memorial unless I can get some other information.

Sue
