|Gray Hawk||Courtney Bell Hicks Adams|
Hi, Courtney was my 1St. Cousin 2x removed. Do you know if Courney was Native American or not? If you look at her picture, she is much darker than her husband but she is listed as being white in the 1900 Census. My grandmother Katherine Dallas Hicks Webb talked about Native Americans all the time. I have a 1St. cousin that is dark skin. I am sure there are more that I don't know about. I know that one of my Uncles was married to a Creek Native American on the Hicks side. I had two Native American ladies tracking from me back and the last time I talk to the one that was a friend and they had it to, I was I/4 but her husband passed away.They moved away and we could never find them.

I added a photo for you but I'm not sure its right. The dates and initials are the same but you want a Jesse William and the photo I had was for J. Willis but the dates match. Is he the same man? If I'm wrong let me know and I'll delete the photo.

Do you have more info. Could not find her grave. Was she married? Is this maiden or married name? Do you know her full given name? Will go back if you have any clues as there is no ANNIE NEWTON.

Please go into EDIT then SUGGEST A CORRECTION etc. then into large empty box and ask for a transfer for all you kin in this cemetery (each has to be done seperately). Carolyn Davis is no longer with Find A Grave and these memorials should be in your safe keeping.
C.D. has so many, many mistakes & errors...the only way to get them corrected is for you to get the memorials and do what you can!!
You may contact me at email@example.com if you need or want any help...or just to chat!
I received the location of the grave today and will photograph as soon as I can. Maybe when the temperature gets below 104.

|A Daughter of the Confederacy||Talbot grave|
Hi,I did find luther talbots grave and he was beside the other's in his family but the lawnmower guys took much of it out.All that was left was the foundation stone and vase that was attached to it,Sorry thats all i could get.
|Nadia K. Orton||Portlock Cemetery request|
I tried for two hours, but was unable to locate the grave sites of either Luther Talbot, or John M. Talbot. There were other Talbots in the area where their grave sites should be. The map for Portlock is confusing at best, so unless someone else is successful, I'll give it another go in the future.

Would you do me a favor and ask your Mother is she knows anyone who is referred to as Sugar Shake? Maybe a restaurant or a person. I am trying to find the Bennett Cemetery for another person, but the location has a "posted" sign on it and if I remember corrected the contact name was "Sugar Shack". I cannot find that at LaCross.
Thanks much and I very happy to help, so if you need more photos just let me know.

We were just down there Saturday looking for the Foster Family Cemetery. We found a cemetery close to the railroad tracks but it didn't have any tombstones. I was told it had some tombstones that had names on them. Do you know where it's at? If you like I can turn those memorials over to you. Just let me know.
