Bio and Links
Bio Photo Voltaire "To the living we owe respect. To the dead we owe only the Truth.

Much work is done on Ancestry etc and many before a memorial. I am on here to have the accurate and complete information for each memorial, and to link families together. We all have different interests and contribute in our own way. Please be courteous of all contributors.

Family names: Bach, Beres, Brill, Burbach, Casper, Fox, Harris, Haese, Harris, Istenik, Ivic, Johnson, Jung, Kaebisch, Kau, Kent, King, Kingston, Kohler, Kriescher, Krimmer, Kuhn, Lauer, Miller, Puetzer, Salentine, Schamper, Schneider, Schubel, Snyder, Stickney, Taborshak, Trecker, Urbanac, Vaclavek, Weber, Werel, Young etc.I see Find A Grave as a way of honoring those we loved and passed before us. This gives us a way to connect our families through linking. If we didn't have this, so many of the stories and sometimes people would be forgotten. To me this is a small way to honor each of their souls. To those that have joined this site before I found it,I am grateful that you have taken pictures of the gravestone and markers many of which would be lost to the elements.
. Every memorial I work on has tremendous research on the person so that their story is told. I also then will continue and work on the family who still live so the work is done once. History: Holy Apostles Church: The first Catholic Mass in New Berlin was said at the homestead of Andrew Schneider (Snyder)in 1844. (My great grandfather * wife Katharina Casper)

#150358523 Henry Joseph Schiffmann
The death information is listed but the headstone does not list the date of death. At the Mount Pleasant Cemetery,Lodi, Columbia County where the the subject died is another headstone under the name of Mary A. Schiffman. This headstone has Henry J with the same years of birth and death as what is listed at Saint Mathias Cemetery. Are these two the same person and if so, at which cemetery is Henry J. Schiffman buried?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

RE: Werel
Hi!

I actually took photos of the entire 14 section today (nearly 1000) so it is possible that I already have the photo! Near the Werel's were the Uhlir's - as you can see they were buried right in front of the large stone. That is a place usually reserved for "mother and father" so I was actually a bit surprised so see the Werel's placed in front of the stone!

I'll be uploading the photos over the next week, so it is possible that Margaret is among the set!

RE: Dames
Yes, they explained that their clerk had left.

I think I may have an answer to why there is no headstone... just a possibility.

Gordon R. Abel died on the same date that is listed for Gordon R. Dames. He was also a veteran. (I know that the cemetery has Gordon Dames also listed as a veteran, but I can't remember what rank they gave, if any.)

I'm wondering if Gordon R. Abel & Gordon R. Dames are actually the same person, and somehow the name got messed up. Gordon Abel's headstone has been photographed... Do your records list which plot Gordon Abel is buried in?
