|Barbara Milligan Rowe Elliottt||RE Marthia Jane McQueen Photo Request|
You have requested a photo of the stone for Marthia Jane McQueen. Forrest Hill cemetery is a pauper cemetery and you can see from the photos on the Findagrave cemetery page that there are NO readable stones in this cemetery. There are actually on 3 stones in the entire cemetery and the inscriptions on them are unrecognzable.

|Shea Browning||RE: Verdie James Sears|
You're most welcome. My maternal great-great-grandfather was William Onie "Shear" James - one of Verdie's uncles. My grandmother was Mable Sears Baldwin, her mother was Evelyn Mable (James) Sears. Union Hill is a very special place.

I put the photos that I tried to get in the past week on his memorial. I am not entirely happy with them, but I may not get to the cemetery in the next few days, so I went ahead and edited what I already took and added them. I will try to get back up there and get better shots and replace them... One day it started to sprinkle just after I pulled into the cemetery and since it was so overcast and under a tree it made the stone harder to read. The second day you can see the lighting was a bit better, still not great though. Looks like the birds like to sit right above his stone too, and I wasn't prepared for that.
(I was surprised that I had missed the stone previously as I had photo'd that section a handful of months ago, but it looks like it is a newly placed marker...)
If you would like a different angle of the area he is buried, let me know. This angle looked the best in the photos (it is not a very "full" area of the cemetery).
I will let you know when I add better photos.

The word "free" referred to the fact that no money was paid for the cemetery plot. As indicated, he was buried in the 'Pauper' section of the cemetery.
