 | RE: Clarence Gendron You're welcome! I knew you had some Gendrons in that area... :-)Added by Mary S. on May 15, 2013 4:29 PM | | | Mary S.
 | Clarence Gendron Hi Angelina! I know you're researching some Gendrons in the area and saw this not-yet-indexed birth record on Family Search and thought of you - hope it's helpful! ;-) Mary https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1951-24259-32276-32?cc=1928860&wc=MM1J-N9M:n1710614621Added by Mary S. on May 15, 2013 11:39 AM | | | Kenneth White

 | RE: Schmidt and Cox photos I didn't know your grandfather. I knew a Maxine Schmidt (1938-1993)who married my uncle. Also a high school friend Calvin Schmidt who is about 65 y.o.now. Possibly related. | | | Kenneth White
 | RE: Schmidt and Cox photos Glad to help. Back in the 1950s i lived across the street from Frank Cox(Edson&Hazels son)in East Livermore, and went to school with his children. Frank is buried in Pleasant Valley just a few lots away from your grandfather. Next time i'm near there i'll get a photo for you. | | | psc

 | RE: MAX The blind one is a rooster, and a sweetheart! The hen is just elderly and the last of her flock (my original hens were all Dominiques - now, except for her, I only have Russian Orloffs). She keeps an eye out for him (she always was a motherly thing), so that works out well.
No farm, but it is pretty "country" around here. :-)
And it's not an exception exactly - I just don't get around to listing everyone as friends. Some people I communicate with often - or have reason to look at their listings fairly often (like my sister, who loves to do photography, but has no interest in genealogical research), and I can't always remember their Find A Grave user name. :-)Added by Mary S. on Mar 29, 2013 9:14 PM | | | Mary S.
 | RE: MAX The indoor rooster doesn't crow a lot (and he is downstairs - my husband can't even hear him usually, but my hearing is a little better). I usually hear the outdoor roos first anyway.
Yes, Greyhounds are a marvelous breed. I miss having one - we had had a succession of them for over 35 years! But we're taking a break from dog ownership. The last two really put us through the wringer when they got old and sick. And money is tight. I don't want to make a financial commitment right now. Maybe eventually...
I don't actually "friend" (officially) too many people here. Just don't think of it usually. The ones I do have are people I work with for the most part (like my sister). I will add you, though. :-)Added by Mary S. on Mar 29, 2013 6:28 PM | | | Mary S.
 | Wow I was looking back at the correspondence we had a year ago (a little more). Lots of changes.
We lost Max the greyhound not too long after. Just plain old age. Then got another rabbit, which was SUPPOSED to be the angora I'd been wanting (for both fiber and temperament), but wound up being a mini-lop with an attitude that a friend wanted to rehome. This bunny lives in our living room, so she can be a part of our day to day lives, which she LOVES - more chance to manipulate us. Oh well! LOL
Our first bunny, being the quiet type, enjoys living in our finished basement with an elderly hen and a blind rooster, because it's out of the way and quieter down there. We spend time with him, but aren't "in his face" (as he would see it) all the time. Funny how different their personalities are! :-)
My husband is now volunteering as a driver for the Senior Center - we call it "driving Miss Daisy," as he brings people to their doctor's appts. It's gets him out of the house doing something useful - and they pay mileage, which is good as we certainly couldn't afford the gasoline for it otherwise!
And I'm just plodding along - LOL! Hope all is well with you.Added by Mary S. on Mar 29, 2013 6:46 AM | | | | [View all messages...] |
