I was born and raised in Pikesville, Maryland. I have been researching my family history since the 1960's. 3 Gompf brothers, Peter, John, George, immigrated from Germany in the mid 19th century. Peter and John settled in the Baltimore area. George went to Canada.
If anyone wants to discuss the history of Gompf, Hartman, Schott, Sieck, feel free to contact me.

I am also researching the Thomas side of my family. Many of these people are buried at the Pines Cemetery, New Oxford, PA. They date back to the immigrant J. Philip Thomas who arrived in Philadelphia in 1747 from Germany. More recent names have been Gompf, Eckhardt, Waltman, then 4 generations of Thomas'.

I also have an extensive list of Nordwalls.

To my knowledge, not related. If you would like a transfer, will be happy to do so. I will continue to search for his parents to and birth date. Just don't like to have my Memorial's incomplete. I would add you to my friends list but I am over my limit.
Best Wishes, Lettie

PS. What county in MD. are you in? My family came from St. Mary's Co., MD. in the early 1800's. Very hard to find info there.

THANK YOU! I had tried through Ancestry.com to locate his burial but was unable to find any other info for him. Now, I no longer have that research tool. Your efforts are very much appreciated. Are you related to this Nordwall Family?
Best Wishes, Lettie

I am assuming you are related to the Campbell family. I wanted you to see the reunion article I posted on the above noted memorial page.
Best Regards,

Phillip Thomas
Hi Betty, I see you are doing reasearch on the Thomas family from New Chester, Pa. I added a memorial in St. Paul's Cemetery (The Pines) in New Oxford for Phillip Thomas - 134837848 whom died in 1857. He may be related to the memorials you have there.

RE: Lahman
Betty
I found Fern L but I was a little bit unsure of her husband. The tombstone they are both on shows Fern and Fred C. Wickes but there is a note possibly on the back of the tombstone that says for Fern, "wife of Hubert". Do you know if Fred was Hubert's real name or are these two different people?

RE: Julian R Lahman 37740261 and 62
Thanks for calling the duplication to my attention. I've got that corrected and also added tombstone photos for all of the Lahmans I found in the Botts cemetery and got them all connected. If you know of others let me know and I will try to get them connected. I ran across a Vernon L. Lahman in the Meadville cemetery and it appears from his birth date that he could be connected to the Lahman's in the Botts cemetery. Do you know if that is correct?
