 | RE: Pfc Schallmoser I posted the individual photos. I did not take a group picture, but will try to remember to do that the next time I get out to St Joseph's.Added by LU on Apr 15, 2013 4:49 AM | | | LU
 | RE: Pfc Schallmoser You are welcome. There are a couple more Schallmoser's next to Pfc Schallmoser. They are: Frank, Sept 26, 1896 - Jan 26, 1980 and Magdalena, Aug 21, 1891 - Jan 18, 1975. If you would like pictures for these as well, please create memorials and let me know.Added by LU on Apr 14, 2013 8:10 PM | | | WalksWithAngels

 | Mt. Zion Cemetery, Los Angeles, CA I don't know if you're aware, but the Los Angeles Times ran an article about Mt. Zion Cemetery and its current state this week. I thought you might be interested since you recorded many graves in that cemetery. Here's a link to the article: http://www.latimes.com/news/columnone/la-me-jewish-cemetery-html-20130328-dto,0,4355412.htmlstory
I hope the publicity leads to better maintenance of the cemetery. Its current state is shameful. | | | Linda Claxton

 | RE: Sam Bazow Sue,
First off, thanks for the photo of Sam Bazow. I was pleasantly surprised that his photo was also a part of his memorial. Sadie Bazow was my grand aunt, the sister of my Grandmother, Sam was my grandmother's brother in law. I appreciate the offer of transferring the memorials to me, but I don't feel I am the right person for the Bazow family. I have cousins that are descendants from that side of the family that are also into genealogy that would be better for the role.
Thank you again for the photo, and if Sadie is found, I would be anxious to see hers posted as well.
Thanks again,
Brian

 | Hebrew Headstone Translation P.S. I'm fluent in Hebrew. If you ever need any of your tombstones translated, I'm happy to do that for you, free of charge. :) I enjoy uncovering the secrets in the Hebrew headstones.

 | Florence Feingold and Bertha Feingold Hi Sue,
Thank you so much! I appreciate you transferring the management of their online sites/memorials to me.
I have photos of their graves, so, no worries if you can't find the photo. I actually had their tombstones restored in 1996, as I'm from Los Angeles. We have annual family reunions and I'm sort of "keeper of the cemetery." When I lived in L.A., I was out at Mt. Zion all the time. It's a magical place replete with history.
I appreciate your response and sharing. It means so very much to me.

 | Florence Feingold, obm Hi Friends,
Thank you for posting this for my Great-Aunt, Florence. I work on the family history for our side of the Feingolds, and was happy to see Aunt Florence and Great-grandmother Bertha already listed in Mt. Zion.
I humbly request that you consider transferring management of their findagrave.com listings to me, the great-grand daughter. This would mean so much to me.
I am scanning more photos to upload and would like to update their information to share with other family members.
Thank you for your consideration. Again, I am writing about Florence Feingold and Bertha Feingold, side-by-side in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boyle Heights, CA.
Sincerely,
Lili FeingoldAdded by Lilush14 on Feb 18, 2013 2:17 AM | | | | [View all messages...] |
