re: Bernice Dominici
I almost forgot to add...

Bernice's brother Ralph (my grandfather) is also buried at Green Hill Cemetery.

Bernice Dominici
Hey Sheldon,

I'm assuming that with you leaving a memorial on Bernice Dominici's page, that you are related to her. As such, you and I are definitely related. Bernice is the sister of my grandfather, Ralph Roland Linderman.

From my research, Bernice had 2 children that, unfortunately, didn't make it too far. Mary Ann (b. 30 Dec 1943, d. 24 Aug 1944) and Joseph Frederick (b. 25 Mar 1950, d. 12 Apr 1950). I found that she had at least two other children, James and Rose Marie. Although I do not have much information on these two.

I know that Bernice and Ralph's mother, Christina Bridget Dymack, passed relatively young (shortly after her 40th birthday).

My aunt even remembers Bernice visiting her when she was young.

I have a little bit more information on Bernice's side of the family, if you are interested.

RE: Hollywood Cemetery ~ Ben Catogni
Well, about the first thing I did when I found Ben Dominici's gravestone (where I really wanted to find Ben Catogni) was to look around for any depressions that often indicate a fallen (covered) marker. Especially on a hill, as it is. Saw nothing or I would have probed myself, I have 6' 20 lb. bar, same as undertakers use. If you have a cousin to undertake that, all well and good. But the lot is only about 6' square, I could easily probe it if you'd like. One thing you need to do, you'll love what you'll get... call Hollywood and get the lot diagram card, will show ALL the burials in the lot (marked or unmarked) and will give you the burial dates too.

Hollywood Cemetery ~ Ben Catogni
Hello Shelton. I'm the person that claimed THIS photo request for you. I always hate saying this, especially a blood line, but it seems your Ben Catogni is an unmarked burial. Cemetery records DO attest he rests in section R, lot 135, but there was only one marker in that lot, being young Benjamin Dominici 1872-1873. No other markers there. (I closed your photo request with a lot photo.) You may want to call Hollywood at 804-648-8501 to ask about this young man who does NOT appear on Hollywood's lookup tool, make sure we're looking at the right lot? But I confirmed burials in the lots that frame 135, plus this Dominici lad shares YOUR name, so I have no doubt. Also, if you call that number and talk real nice to Mabel, you could probably get the lot diagram card, which will list ALL burials in that lot, may be helpful to you? Sorry it didn't work out. Rich.

Family?
Hi Shelton. I'm new to the site. I believe we are related. I have some ancestral info that was given to me by Lois C. before she passed away. I'd be happy to share what I have with you.
