Bovee Cemetery
Hi Robin, Victory Church had a sign up for services, so I imagine it's still open. The cemeteries are still mowed regularly, and some families have done a bit of restoration work on their stones.

RE: John Bovee
Glad I was able to check for you. Time and earth take away the stones (if they were ever there). In Bovee, the earth has heaved up even some of the concrete footings below the stones, while a few feet away, it has swallowed two thirds of an obelisk. Lichens and black fungus are eating the inscriptions. I imagine if we had ground penetrating radar, we could find many more. But we are lucky to have had several people who have inventoried the cemeteries over the years.

John Bovee
Hi Robin,

We went to Bovee Cemetery today, and couldn't find any gravestone for John. I don't know if one ever existed.

RE: Haakon Espe grave
The 3rd stone is Haakon. I missed posting it. Anna Tapp was in a different location. Thanks for letting me know of the omission.

Richard Gossard
Hello Robin,

I just added a photo of Richard Gossard's gravesite, but there is no marker for him. Inez Gossard is buried just to the right of him. I added a photo of her marker to her monument.

RE: Perdue Gossard photos
You are very welcome Robin. And thank you for your kind words. In addition to your requests, I had also added a couple of photos to Jefferson Gossard's memorial and then today I added a couple to Amzi Gossard's memorial.

You may already know this, but William and Hannah Gossard owned the farm north of the New England Church and donated an acre of land for the cemetery.

RE: Thank you!
Thank you for the kind words. I am not family to them, so if you would like me to transfer any of them to you, please let me know. It makes my day when I find people who still love the folks that has a memorial.
