Gabriel Stine
Larry, I recently found your contribution of information and photo's for Gabriel. I see it lists you as being a direct descendant.

I too am descended. Thanks to this site I find information on Lillian Stine Hartley (My Great Grandmother) who is Gabriel's Grand Daughter making him my GGG Grandfather.

I would love to share or exchange information with you!

Feel free to contact me,

Ivan Schug, WWII KIA
I am Patty Locher, reporter for the Sabetha Herald, Sabetha, Kansas, which also covers Fairview, which is where Ivan was raised and graduated from high school. I plan to write Ivan Schug's story for our special Memorial Day section this year, and I am hoping to get some information about him from individuals who are related to him or have personal knowledge about him. Please email me at with any information and photos that I can use in this article to honor Ivan's memory, as well as any contact information. Since I hope to get my articles completed by early March, I would appreciate an early reply.
Thank you so much for your time and effort!

RE: Irene Dobson
Larry, I received your message today. You had answered my email once before.

I tried to contact Sandie Shinkle in facebook but did not get any reply. I think her son is Oren Peek but have not contacted him.

Lela Irene Dobson
I am doing research on my family history. Are you related to Lela Irene Dobson.

The reason I ask is because her Mother, Nannie Crle Schulz was my grandfathers sister. I have information on the Crile family if any of Lela family is interested .

I found the gravestone
this is the 3nd time you sent this to me in one year

Greetings from Find A Grave,

We are writing to let you know that a Find A Grave volunteer has reported a problem with your photo request for Moses Anderson.

The general problem they reported is:
Cemetery office confirmed that this burial is unmarked

They also reported, specifically:
As president of the Wills Cemetery, we have record of Moses Anderson being buried at the Wills Cemetery, but there is no marker to photo. Larry Dobson

Due to this problem, we believe that this photo request can not be fulfilled. As a result, we are removing it. If you can fix the problems that were reported and believe a photo can be acquired, please feel free to make a new request.

Cemetery Plat
I noticed from the memorials you transferred to me that there is a plot location. I wish Find A Grave would allow a Cemetery Plat map, even if basic. I do photo request in couple cemeteries with over 2000 and have to walk all of it just to find a particular marker. At least Appleton City Mo Cemetery is broken down by section, so I only have to search a section of 300, not 2300. Anyway, I do know where Lester and Mary Spangler are buried there, just making easier for others to find marker. Do you think a plat map or section map would be useful to others. Thanks-Larry

Thank you for the transfers and sounds like your doing the same thing as I, going thru a cemetery adding all marker photos and names for the whole cemetery. I have completed about 4 smaller cem in bates county and working on couple larger ones in Henry County. Also doing requests around Bates, Henry, and St Clair. Again, thank you!

Distantly related by marriage
I have been working on researching my mom's family. Her uncle is John Thomas who was married to Hazel. I didn't realize she was a Dobson until I stumbled across the information here on Find-A-Grave.

I have been working at the high school for the past 10 years here in Peculiar. I have met both you and your wife, but not sure if you remember as I am sure that you know many people in the area. Just thought what I stumbled upon was interesting.
