Bio Photo Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone,
The name and date are chiseled out
In weathered red sandstone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist.
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
Two hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder where you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

RE: Rudd Headstones
I don't mind in the least - I found it in the weekly newsletter from The Island Register, a source of information for Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Rudd Headstones
Thank you so much for the photos of William and Susan Rudd's headstone in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The Rudd Family is very grateful to you as it is not possible for us to get to Alabama.

Carnes Photos
Thanks so much for the photos of John and Sallie Carnes grave markers. I have waited a long time for them and had decided I was going to have to make the trip myself so you don't know how much I appreciate it. I also see you have add Walter Coy and Woodie, who are two of their children. If you would like to link John's # is 40501463 and Sallie is 40501581 them that would be great. Again, thanks so much!!!
