I grew up in the small town of Willshire, Ohio which is in the Van Wert County area but attended school in Rockford, Ohio which is Mercer County. I have been married for 37 years and have three grown children and 5 grandchildren. My husband was born and raised in Celina, Ohio which is Mercer County so I have a wide range of coverage for taking photos if requested. If you wish for a transfer of a family member and there is no family association to me I will gladly transfer the memorial but please send me your member number. Feel free to use any pictures I have posted.|

Thanks Deb. I will at least put him in Mt. Zion in my own records and send this message to Margie Pearce who is co-ordinator of the rootsweb for Adams County...looking forward to what you add for him at Mt. Zion and looking forward to not seeing the photo at Decatur!!

Deb, I'm curious about the photo for Josiah Chronister that you have posted in Decatur Cem.
This same photo is posted at Mt. Zion Cemetery also in Adams County...any clue where Josiah is actually buried?

Whoops, forgot - I also grabbed (and posted) the pics of the family interned on the same lot with James & Hester (Robert, Nora, Olin & Norris)

Although there wasn't a request in for Hester - I also grabbed good snaps of her stone (and sent a correction for the death year for James). Hope the pics help!

Thank you for confirming the death date as I had a hard time reconciling what was on the tombstone vs the profile. Take care.

Deb, Thank you so much for the photo of Hannah's stone. It looks as if it was just recently uncovered?? If so I thank you again as you have went above & beyond! Carolyn

|Timothy Schenck||Thank you|
It is a pleasant surprise to see a photo of the gravestone for David Schenck. Thank you very much for providing that.
I notice the profile on findagrave says:
Death: May 18, 1875
Did you enter that data or can you confirm that is what is on the gravestone? I ask because this would make the birth date of March 19, 1803 but the profile notes 1802 so I'm trying to reconcile the difference and figure out if he is the correct father of a Daniel James Schenck I have in my family tree and then try to figure out who David's father is because that is where our family tree ends per our records.
Thank you for any confirmation you may be able to provide. Also, should you need a tool for calculating the number of days between two dates, I found this helpful website: http://www.stevemorse.org/birthday/elapsed.html
