If there is anything I can help you with. I am sure there are gaps for both of us. My cousin and I trace to the immigrant and they trace back filling out as many branches as possible. Scott

Clara and Harry's daughter Ella married Ralph Hoagey in 1928 in Boyertown, Berks, PA.

RE: Inquiry
Hi Cathy,

Yes John and Marie were Ephraim & Reuben's parents. Marie and Reuben died on the same day in 1892 and have tombstones next to each other at Spangsville cemetery. John died in 1842 and I have no burial etc info on John.

Hi Cathy,
Great - thanks !!

Maria is my gg-aunt. She is the sister of my g-grandfather,Reuben Updegrove.

My short tree:
Les - me
father - LeRoy Updegrove(1918)
grandfather- Franklin (1875)
g-grandfather - Reuben(1836) his sister was Maria

On church and baptism records I think they listed Maria as Anna Maria Obdagrave. She had a son Ephraim U. Sands (1856) which I believe was named for her brother Ephraim Updegrove(1834) my gg-uncle who served in the Civil War in 1861 and reported dying in Harrisburg in 1865. I have been trying to find where he was buried but no luck. His death info was from a pension application his wife submitted after her 2nd husband died.It mention that her first husband,Ephraim, died in Harrisburg Dec 1865.

Hi Catherine,

I saw memorial # 29465837 which appears to be the tomstone of Franklin Sands (1834-1889). Did you also take a picture of his wife's tombstone.
Maria M. Sands ( 1831-1903) which I would guess is near by ?
