Alan Gelatt
Callender Family
My name is Alan Gelatt and I Am the Genealogist/Historian for the Callender Family Association. We are the descendants of Samuel Callender, a body guard for General Washington.

I have traced to you through Francis London, grandfather of Viola Shepler Hinderliter. I am currently writing a book on the Callenders, and would love to include your family. We hold a reunion each August. This year it will be our 124th and will be held on the 9th at the Thompson, Pa. fire hall. There will be a dish to pass luncheon followed by a meeting. All descendants and interested persons are invited.

If you have any questions I can be reached at: Alangel1@live.com. Please feel free to pass it, and the invitation, to any interested persons.

Thanks,
Alan

Thanks for the updates! I've updated the memorials with some of the information you've provided. Let me know if you'd like for me to transfer Adam and Ninetta's memorials to your care, for further additions. Thanks again,
~ Marilyn

Hinderliter/Hinderlider
Have you discovered the link between the two families? My ancestors "settled" in Indiana & Illinois but I have hints that they originated in Pennsylvania and New York, traveling through Ohio & Kentucky.

I would be happy to share my findings.

Thank you!

You are very welcome. I'd be glad to help when you need it. Can't promise that I can always get there quickly, but I'll try. I'm glad you liked the photo
