|Larry E. Barnes||George Pinkston family photo|
Hi Andy, I just came across a faded photo of the George Pinkston family and placed it on his page. I'm hoping we'll run into someone that has a better image of this picture. Hope to see you at the Pinkston reunion. I think it's in August.

Hi Andy, I just came across a photo showing Effie Pinkston Miller and 3 of her brothers, but they're not named. It is on Effie's Findagrave page. Can you identify any of her brothers from this photo? I can also add this photo to her brothers' pages.

I unclaimed the request so that you could get credit for it...thank you for letting me know. I was going to go there tomorrow and make a day of it with my family by stopping in Julian afterwards (my kids have never been). Because you took the pictures, you should get the credit. Hope it wasn't too much of a bust...I know when I was on the east coast, I just enjoyed traveling to the cemeteries out there because some of the dates were incredible. Anyways, have a nice weekend.

Pleased to meet you Andy. It's always good to meet a relative who is interested in family history and is working in Findagrave. Thank you for the excellent photo of George Pinkston and all of your work. I did submit the headstone photo for George and Mary J., though I'm not happy with it because it is too dark. I've been trying to locate the image to see if I can lighten it. I may have deleted it by mistake. I'd just go and try another photo this weekend, but it's probably about 120-140 or so miles from where I live in Wichita. George and Mary are my gr. gr. grandparents as well. Their daughter Effie is my gr. grandmother. Her son, Orlo Miller (1908-1992), was my grandfather. However, if it is your feeling that you can add further details to their memorials I will transfer them.
On another note, I've entered another Pinkston, John, who is buried in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Sedgwick Co., Kansas. I believe he died in 1900. As it turns out, John who is a bit older, is none the less a distant "cousin" to our George. The Mt. Hope library has further info on John and his wife which I hope to add to their memorials.
