I have a long-time hobby of wandering cemeteries and taking photos.|
My motivations for creating memorials are to have records of people who are long gone that will exist beyond their time on earth, and even beyond the physical headstone, and so that others can find some info on their families.
I always have higher-resolution images of the photos I contribute; if you would like one, just ask.

Whenever you're back in Gent: we will drink on it! (Westmalle? Leffe? :-))

Oscar Vermassen (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=vermassen&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSob=n&GRid=134367855&df=all&) was the grandfather of my wife.
He was born in Balegem, June 28th 1888, and died in Gent, December 8th 1965.
Maybe you can adjust the dates?
(Maybe we meet some day taking pictures near Gent...)

Thanks Ursula so much for your hard work in documenting graves so that others may benefit from when they are researching their ancestors. Rev Joseph Finotti was my 3rd great uncle and I would love to maintain his site. I am so grateful that I have a picture of his grave monument. Thanks again.

will look for Houdeshell. seems like it was a rural Bourbon County cemetery. maybe Marmaton.
silly me - I have the book. it is centerville cemetery - bourbon county, that is ab out 4 miles west of Fort Scott, north of US 54. Annie, Daniel, Henry & Nellie.
As for the Houdeshells, I'd be very interested in whatever info you have on their gravesites. I didn't find any records in my searches. There should be at least a couple of my great-grandmother's sisters buried somewhere in the Iola area.

1) two additional names are on the family shared stone of Hallam: Kinzle Candy & Crowe Dolly - want them transferred to you?
2) you have Bonnie Kinzle in your family list - from Iola Township Cemetery - want her transferred?
I'm not related

I have added the date. thanks for the info and the picture. I deleted mine, which wasn't as clear. If you'd like a transfer, let me know. I'm not related.
