First, let me state I do this for my love of cemeteries and history, and it's a positive way to give back to the community.
I volunteer my time and efforts to honor requests for anyone who asks.
You may send me an email and ask personally for me to photograph a graves site, or go through the Find A Grave method by posting a request from the memorial directly.

Please note, if I include an obituary, the names of the living will be omitted per Find A Grave rules. I may have the occasional slip up, please let me know. When I first started posting memorials, I too was unaware of certain rules on F.A.G.
Also, PLEASE don't post decedents pictures from the local newspapers on my memorials; if you do, I will notify Find A Grave administrators.

If you would like to have the available obituary for your relative or loved one in the Colorado Springs area, I may have an obituary archived; please ask!!

You may use my photographs for your own personal genealogy files under two simple conditions: ASK ME FIRST please, and then give me credit for the photograph. I have had people copy my pictures then post them on Ancestry.com and on genealogy websites....and that is NOT right to use my work without my permission, which is why it is now copyrighted material!!

Thanks for updating her memorial with the maiden name and her parents links. I am a close friend of the son and he wanted the maiden name added. Great families.

ANDERSON LONG
Hello,
My name is Chris and I am the 4th great granddaughter of Laurence Long. He arrived in the St. Louis area in 1797. I know he and Anderson Long were listed together in the Pathfinders and also he is listed in a 191 newspaper article about the Long Reunion. Do you know how they might be related? I know that Anderson was the son of Reuben and Mary Harrison-Long, but I do not know the names of my Laurence and his brother John Long's parents.
Thank you for any information you can share.
Chris

My father's Tombstone
It is a long story -- but I lost my father at 14 -- he was my step father but he married my mother when I was 13 .. so while I had a 'real' father .. my step father was DADDY.
My mother did not believe in visiting grave sights, and had all of his belongings out of the house before the end of the month of his death.

Then, 3 years later we moved out of state ..

and I lost any connection with him ...

I was doing research for a paper and happened upon this page .. and just out of curiosity I decided to put in my Dad's name. I found his tombstone .. and I cannot tell you what that means to me.
I cannot go visit him in person, but was able to 'leave flowers' and a message ...

It's been 34 years -- and I miss him terribly. He was always my Daddy ..and always will be. Thank you for bringing this connection to him.

RE: Nolan Headstones
Thanks for the Permission to use! I added the name as you requested ;-).

I think that Neva happening to them was a horrible shame. I am sure that Joe never realized. And then luckily for him the Alzheimer's erased the horror and shame of it. Too bad it cannot be erased from the family's memories.

Anyway Again Thanks!

Nolan Headstones
I would like to thank you for taking the headstone of Joseph Eugene Nolan and any other family you may have taken photos of at Evergreen. Joe and his family were in the funeral home/ mortuary business and on the board for Evergreen Cemetery.

I have a private tree that I would like to use the photo's on and of course all due and proper credits would be attached to your photo. I generally use the term Courtesy of Find a Grave Photo Volunteer your name here all rights reserved. Would that work for uou?

Thanks for your consideration.

Best,
Judy Diaz

How very nice of you, Yes, I can provide an updated version of the map for your memorial. I think that the Highine Gardens are quite beautiful and shouldn't be missed!

Thanks for being a part of Find A Grave!
