RE: David McMurtry Mr. McMurtry's grave does not have a marker, but according to the cemetery records, this is where he was laid to rest. If a line is drawn from the stone in the foreground (Ruby Rosebrock) back to the tall brush at the cemetery edge, his grave is on that line, to the left of the smaller of the two markers on the right in the photo. I won't submit a photo of an unmarked site unless the requester approves, so they must have felt a site photo was better than none. I wish there was a simple way of indicating the site more exactly...I've tried setting flowers on an unmarked grave, but it doesn't make a good picture. Sorry for the confusion!
RE: Ervin F. Kennedy Lisa, I can`t find a Ervin Kennedy that I have a memorial for. Where is he buried? Please let me know and I will be happy to make a correction to his middle name. Thank you and have a great day. Joan
John Barkley Hi. Are you the one who was searching for John Barkley (d. 1893) at Oakwood Cem.,Iredell Co., NC? I reported that the cemetery administrator said no one with that death date was buried at Oakwood. Something in his response kept bothering me, so I asked if he had a listing for any John Barkley who might have been buried in the late 1800's. He responded this morning with a John C. Barkley, buried in 1907. Could this be the one you're looking for? I'm going to the cemetery this morning and will get the photo anyway. Just let me know if this is the one.
