Bio and Links
Bio Photo I search for the truth, the real history. I believe that NO ONE should ever be forgotten, and it is our job to preserve the history of the past and keep the memories alive of those who have passed before us for future generations. It is also our job to make sure accurate history is preserved, thus I strive to get to the facts.

"Let us never forget those who have been forgotten."- J. Rubio

NOTE: I think that a lot of people on Find-A-Grave have lost the point of what Find-A-Grave is...a place to create memorials for their loved ones, or those who have been forgotten in death. Hoarding memorials, bullying people to edit information, or refusing to transfer just simply because you can is rude and very unreasonable. I don't care how many thousands of photos or memorials you created or managed, it's not always about the quantity but instead the quality of each memorial done. As you can see I don't have a lot of memorials or photos to show for myself, but each one that I do have has been researched thoroughly because each person matters to me. They are not just names on a list accumulating over time, but they are people; who lived, loved and ultimately died. My choice when I came to Find-A-Grave was to honor each person that I enter into this site and to do my best to accurately tell their story. Please do not lose sight of why we are on here. It is not a place to hide behind pseudonyms, hoard memorials or bully other members around. It was supposed to be a place where we can contribute our research to honor the dead. Remember that....

George Hornage
I am in contact with George Hornage's great granddaughter. She would like to find the book you mentioned (The Valley Road). Can you give me the name of the author? It will probably be impossible to find, but you never know unless you try.

Thank you for the information. Margaret Simpson was the sister of my husband's gg grandather, Samuel Simpson, or at least that's what I'm trying to prove. It's not easy to find anything on the Hornage family, so I'm always excited to find any little bit of information. Thanks for sharing what you've found.

I found your Facebook page, but I don't know where to find more about George. Can you send me a specific link? You sure have a lot of interesting stories on your Facebook page!

I'm curious as to where you found the picture of George Hornage that you posted on findagrave. Are you related? Find A Grave Memorial# 24209396

Miss Griffith
You are correct.

I love this headline:
LAURINE GARDNER, SCHOTT'S CHILD FRIEND, IS ARRESTED ON A CHARGE OF DELINQUENCY: DOCTOR HOLDS TO HIS ALIBI UNDER GRILL "Don't Tell a Thing," Mrs. Gardner Cries When Detectives Arrest Companion of Physician COURT FIGHT LIKELY TODAY

I was going only by the newspaper articles, which said the tests on the gun showed that it did not burn cheesecloth when fired from a distance of three inches, the multiple witnesses who contradicted the one witness who placed the doc at the scene at the right time, and the person who testified regarding her conversation with Miss Griffith shortly before she died. That young girl was pretty convincing and didn't change any of her story, despite the "arrests" and grillings they put her through. She must have been something else! The letter Miss Griffith had written the doc was pretty strange and contradicting, too.

All I know about it, though, is from news reports and the memorial you created. The book should be interesting!

Theodore Schmidt #150700259 Anaheim Cem
I was out at Anaheim Cemetery yesterday, and I looked pretty thoroughly around the crypt in search of Theodore's stone, but didn't find it.

I'll be going back to the cemetery again soon, and will continue to look. I'm leaving your request as unclaimed in case anyone else decides to go searching at Anaheim Cemetery. It's a tough cemetery to search. Sections are unmarked, and the maps posted onsite are largely unreadable. I had 6 names in one area I was looking for, and didn't find one. Took lots of other photos though.

Elizabeth Griffith
You are most welcome. I'll tell ya, the circumstances regarding her death are confusing, but after reading all the old articles regarding the situation, I think she may have done the deed herself. So sad.
