I search for the truth, the real history. I believe that NO ONE should ever be forgotten, and it is our job to preserve the history of the past and keep the memories alive of those who have passed before us for future generations. It is also our job to make sure accurate history is preserved, thus I strive to get to the facts.
"Let us never forget those who have been forgotten."- J. Rubio
NOTE: I think that a lot of people on Find-A-Grave have lost the point of what Find-A-Grave is...a place to create memorials for their loved ones, or those who have been forgotten in death. Hoarding memorials, bullying people to edit information, or refusing to transfer just simply because you can is rude and very unreasonable. I don't care how many thousands of photos or memorials you created or managed, it's not always about the quantity but instead the quality of each memorial done. As you can see I don't have a lot of memorials or photos to show for myself, but each one that I do have has been researched thoroughly because each person matters to me. They are not just names on a list accumulating over time, but they are people; who lived, loved and ultimately died. My choice when I came to Find-A-Grave was to honor each person that I enter into this site and to do my best to accurately tell their story. Please do not lose sight of why we are on here. It is not a place to hide behind pseudonyms, hoard memorials or bully other members around. It was supposed to be a place where we can contribute our research to honor the dead. Remember that....
Alice Locke She's right where you said. I checked the plot records at Masonic. They will update their records with the correct plot location. I will also let Sacramento City know where she is buried. They were aware that I was checking into it. I'm fairly sure the City records will be updated with her Masonic info on Wednesday. I'll remove my edits for the plot info. Here is her plot info so you can add to her memorial: Section J Lot 108 Grave 1 Sorry for any trouble I may have caused you. Thank you tho for being so persistent to that it got corrected. Lin
RE: Alice Locke What entrance do you use? If it's Broadway, the Sacramento City Cemetery. If you enter from Riverside, that's Masonic. They are next to each other. And just to add to the confusion, Odd Fellows is also next to Masonic and they also have an Old Odd Fellows Section inside City.
RE: Alice Locke Hi. I will delete my memorial. What you need to know is that Alice is not buried at Masonic. She is buried at Sacramento City Cemetery. She is buried in the Old Masonic Section and the Masonic Lawn Cemetery lists those buried in the Sacramento City Cemetery's Old Masonic Section in Masonic Lawn Cemetery records as well as City Cemetery. I will submit an edit for the plot information but it will be more accurate if you change the cemetery to Sacramento City Cemetery where her headstone and she are. I will also submit an edit stating this. Lin
RE: Plot Location for Samuel Lowery Thanks. This cemetery is administrated by the folks at St Michael's Cemetery in Livermore. The person there did not have access to the database on the computer just the maps which did not list by plot number but by section. I will be going back there soon and will recheck with them. Hopefully the person with the access will be there.
