I was born in 1951. At the present time of 2013 I am 62 years old. How did that happen! Looking in the mirror, I ask myself, "Who's that old man?" It certainly isn't the internal picture I have of myself. I remember being young; inside I feel young; outside my body complains about this sore muscle, this ache, or that pain. Why am I tired all of the time? Growing old isn't for wimps!|
After 33 years of teaching, I retired. God does work in every part of our lives, He has a reason for everything. Being retired I was able to devote more of my time to help Mom take care of Dad. He had developed Alzheimer's and needed constant attention. For Dad it was a 10 year struggle with the disease. My Mother, sisters, and I were primary care givers. We kept him at home throughout this time with very little outside help. I do not regret one day that I helped take care of him; but I want to tell you that this is the closest to living in Hell that I ever want to be. Only those that have been through a similar circumstance will understand what I am saying. Dad died of his disease recently. Our family even though we miss him terribly, are grateful that he now has peace in heaven. Our faith sustains us.
My life has not always been easy, but I am thankful for it. I have not had the worse life by any means. I have many loved ones that have passed on. Because I am a Christian, believing that my sins have been forgiven through Jesus, I look forward to that day, that great reunion day when I will see my friends and loved ones that are waiting for me there. Peace be to you all!

See the picture posted on this memorial. It is for someone else. His wife's memorial has the correct one. Could you change? Thanks.

Can't thank you enough for accepting and fulfilling my numerous photo requests at this cemetery. The pictures are outstanding!
Thank you for looking for a marker for Thomas Hardin. I thought maybe his stone would give more info than the cemetery card had. His card was just included with the Hardins I was looking for and I didn't want him to get lost. I searched Miami and Joplin papers but didn't find a death notice or obit that seemed to match. Maybe somebody will claim him one day. Thanks again for your time.

Thank you so much for taking this photo!!
Thank you for your help with the cemetery. I got the info off a family tree. Guess it wasn't reliable. I deleted the memorial until I get better info.
