I noticed that you are managing Ruth Heisen Booth's memorial - #69867286. She is the daughter of Charles Heisen, Jr., who is the son of my great-grandfather, Charles Heisen (Sacramento, CA)...Are you related? I wanted to connect her memorial with her parents. I have their memorial #'s if you are interested.

Jennifer you are welcome.
Every cemetery is different as to the information they have of the departed. Evergreen has a card file with everyone, that is, if they haven't lost the card. Mountain View has registers that are by year, then by last name. So no year, no look up. They also have several smaller cemeteries that they do not have records for, but it is Mountain View nonetheless.
St. Mary's has sorted its people by years, then last names. Other cemetries, in Colma, have computer records, but for really old records it will require a paid search of the registers, cost $35 and take 4 to 6 weeks.
Also, just because it has it on the death cerficate or in the obituary, it does not mean they will be there. I traced Dr. Gustave Rosenk to the Chapel of the Chimes, Oakland, and he happily stayed there for a month, and then someone picked him up and took him! To where? Who knows? Strange stuff to be sure.
I guess the point is to be open and work what ever system the folks have set up to your best advantage. And remember, us researchers tend to help the most giving members. Good Luck on your family searches.

It will not be possible to fulfill your request without the death dates for Charles and Ruth Booth as Mountain View Cemetery does not have an alphabetical master record of all its deceased. You must know what year they died, and then Diana will look up in the particular book for that person's location. Without the death date it is impossible to search through the records as they probably have a hundred thousand dead or more.
There may be a record, which is in the office vault, of the Booth lot in plot 14B. You could ask for that record, and it could give you insight as to who is there, and other questions too.
I'll be awaiting your reply.

I added the photos for David, Christie, Charles S, Carrie, and Edgar Booth. I'm not sure where Elmer and Ruth were buried. They were not listed on the headstone. The limit on this plot may have been for six bodies.
I did a quick census search on Ancestry.com to figure out the parents for Don and how they connected to these Booths. Elmer was living next to his father Charles on the 1930 census. I went back a few other censuses (1910, 1880) to confirm that this was all the same family. When I get a photo request and see additional family members in the plot, it just makes sense to give them memorials too.
Happy I could help you.

Glad to be of help. The Booth headstone has five other names on it:
Front: David Booth (14 Apr 1823 England - 3 Apr 1898), Christie A Booth (14 Aug 1826 Scotland - 11 Feb 1893)
Left side: Charles S Booth (6 Dec 1864 - 5 Jan 1932), Carrie L Booth (15 Aug 1865 - 20 Nov 1948), Edgar N Booth (29 Oct 1897 - 17 Jul 1900)
I believe Donald's parents were Charles Elmer Booth (b abt 1891 California) and Ruth (b abt 1892 California). Elmer was the son of Charles and Carrie Booth, the grandson of David and Christie Booth.
If you add the memorials, I'll add the pictures. If not, let me know and I can take care of it.
