Hi,
Why did you contact me about this? None of the names are familiar to me.

RE: Matthews Cemetery
Hi Joe,

I wanted to make sure i could find Matthews before I put the directions on here. I tried to change them on the cemetery site but not sure how to do it.

Going West on RT 24, turn right on Phillips Hill Rd, turn left on Whomach Rd. The field is the last one on the left. You have to walk along the trees to where they extend out some & look into the woods. You can barely see them. They are scattered inside the woods. I took all the pictures I could find. They are now uploaded on Find A Grave. I would be happy to send you some of the pictures of the cemetery itself if you'd like so you can see what I mean. If you have any questions or trouble finding it let me know. I would be glad to show you.

RE: Matthews Cemetery
Well I went to Matthews Cemetery. OMG It was in the woods. lol No wonder nobody could find it. A lot of the stones were down but I got what I could. Even many scratches up and down my arms. So glad I took a pair of jogging pants. My legs would have matched my arms. lol Not to mention I fell a few times from my shoe getting hooked on vines. What an experience that was. But I feel better now that I got it done.

coming from Rehoboth, If you come up RT 24 towards Laurel, make a right on Phillips Hill Rd, make a left on Womach Rd, it's the last field on the left. you have to walk along the trees to where they kinda loop out some and look in the woods. I took pictures so you will see what I mean. They are all scattered in there.

RE: Matthews Cemetery
I just spoke to my Matthew so I know how to get to the cemetery now. Definately can't see it from the road. I have to park my car and walk along some trees in a field to get to it. A friend of mine is going with me tomorrow. I'm going to take a picture of all the stones in there.

Matthews Cemetery
I spent hours looking for this one. The directions aren't very helpful. Lowes Crossroads is a very long road and splits off. There is a Samuel Hill Road but they don't intersect. It's confusing as I drove up and down several times both roads. But as I said when LLoyd gets back with me would be happy to share.

I am in contact with a LLoyd Matthews for that cemetery. He is going to call me and let me know where it is so I can take the pictures. He said it is hard to get to but can help me out. It can't be seen from the road. Keep in touch and I will be happy to share it with you.

RE: Matthews Cemetery - Sussex Co., DE

I sent you an e-mail earlier with the directions below..... did it not help?

I have not been to the cemetery, as the memorials were created from a listing I obtained.

MATTHEWS CEMETERY, SUSSEX COUNTY, DE

North of Route 24 and two miles west of Lowes Crossroads

The cemetery is at the edge of a field just off Sam Hill Road.
