I'm doing a lot of family research and finding this resource to be tremendously helpful. I try to add verified information in order to help others when I can.|
Families I am researching include Hain/Hyne/Hein, Fisher, Goudelock, Davenport, Dry, Kirchenbauer, Boyle, Keesling and others.
I've also been helping my husband with his family research into the Wells, Camp and Marriner families, mostly in England, as well as the Browns in northern Georgia.

Sorry for the delay in answering. I've had company and still haven't read through your information. Don't feel too embarrassed as I did the same thing, at least once before. I hope to get to working on Peirce/Pierce Cem. this weekend and will let you know when I'm done. Thank you. Linda

Carol, Thanks your your note concerning the memorial for William Norris. The info. i.e. parents, etc. was sent to me via an edit request from another contributor. I'm not related, so I assumed the person that sent it had correct information. Evidently, I assumed wrong because I just found William on the Browning genealogy website and it shows his date of death being Oct. 10, 1956 in Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., Indiana at the age of 80. I have changed the death date and just left the year of 1876 as the birth year since that is what is on the marker. I have also removed his parents' names. I can't remove the names of his children because I didn't create their memorials. If these are not his children you'll have to contact the person that created their memorials. Apparently, this William Norris is being confused with the one you mentioned that is buried in Kokomo.
As I mentioned, I'm not related, so I would be happy to transfer his memorial to you since you are a relative. Just send a request for transfer via the edit option and I'll comply.

Anything at all, I understand that he had 5 lads. I want to be sure that he is the right chap I am researching please Carol - was his service number 0-740172.
I have him as a pilot with 55 Fighter Group. 343 Squadron flying the P-38 Lightning?
