Kevin, Thank-You so much for the Headstone photos! Can I ask are the photos fairly recent? I only ask because I have sent a message, and proved that Fred Slingsbys service number is 16/350 and not 15/350, they promised me that his headstone would be replaced to show the correct number. This was 8 month ago. Allan.

Thank you for the photo of the tombstone of my cousin Alex Phillips. He came from a large farm family that lived near the prairie town of Carman, Manitoba. His father had died in 1910 and his mother several years earlier. His stepmother was running the farm with Alex's younger brothers so Alex must have felt it was his responsibility to represent the family in the fight for freedom. He was only 21 when he died.
