I have found findagrave completely addicting. I think one reasons I like it so much is that I get to help others find lost love ones.
The memorials I post are a combination of family memorials and ones from photos I take at my local cemeteries. I do not have regular access to the internet. I try to get all the pictures I take online, but sometimes it takes awhile.
My philosophy regarding the pictures I take is to go ahead and post. This is especially true of temporary markers. I have seen temporary markers 40 years old. I have also noticed the new temporary markers are designed in such a way that they only last until the first rain. I go ahead and post and will gladly remove when a photo of the permanent marker is taken.
For the memorials I have posted in Brazos county, most likely I have a photo and simply have not had time to upload it. I try to get names in first, just in case something happens to the photos. I post all I take, but when weather is pretty the number of photos compared to the time I have on the internet....sometimes there is a delay.

You requested a photo of this person's headstone, but I don't think he has one. I did find his death certificate on FamilySearch.org and posted that instead. Hope that helps.

How kind of you to transfer their memorials to me. I will add bio info and family links. I am puzzled as to why the headstones are spelled La Motte (with a space) when the family all spells the name LaMotte (without a space). We've had similar things happen at my home cemetery, Rose Hill in Oklahoma City. I guess the monument company does what they think is best.

This is weird...his birthday and mine are the same (different years); and his death date is the same as brothers of mine who are twins (and they aren't gone yet).
Also, Kingston is in Hunt County, so I made that change, too.

If you can call Sparkman Hillcrest (214 363 5401) and get the burial location for Frances, I will fill your photo request. The office is very particular about volunteers asking for burial locations.
Once you get the location, please add it to the plot field which can only be edited when looking at the memorial in regular view.
