I found a website
http://sortedbyname.com/

It's got information and links to websites for documents like birth, marriage and death certificates. I looked for Benjamin Sr. and all that's listed are his marriage certificates to his wives, no death certificate. He and my grandmother were living in Ohio in 1920, per the census, so it's very possible he died in Ohio and was transported to and buried in West Virginia because there was no reason for my grandmother to stay in Ohio.

Benjamin Oliver Doyle (Sr.)
I don't know if this link will work without being signed into familysearch.org but here is the link to the scanned image of the 1920 Census for Pease, Ohio with Benjamin Sr., my grandmother Della and little Benjamin listed. I guess Alva was living with other relatives at the time because he is not included on the census. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MDRR-NJV
Notice that Ben Sr. lists his name as Oliver B. Doyle and lists his place of birth as Indianapolis, Indiana in 1867. I have already checked and found that you cannot access old records through the Indiana vital statistics online. You have to request and pay for a copy of the document you want.

Benjamin Oliver Doyle (Sr.)
It's weird but now his memorial isn't coming up as a search result. I keep forgetting what his approximate birth year is. I did, however, find Benjamin Oliver Doyle, Jr's memorial.

Memorial 144931151
That is the grave of Benjamin Oliver Doyle, Jr., son of Benjamin Oliver Doyle and Della Higgs Doyle. It's weird nothing came up earlier today when I was searching for it. I'm doing searches for Ben, Sr. on familysearch.org and I keep forgetting what his approximate birth year is, so I came here to look it up and Jr.'s gravesite popped up in the search.

Calling you
I am afraid that I can't give you a call until later this evening. I'm getting ready to cook a birthday dinner for my oldest daughter. Her birthday was yesterday, but once they become adults, they have to squeeze in time for their parents to celebrate with. She seems to forget she wouldn't be here without her father and me. *grins*

Oliver's and Alva's gravesites location
Oliver's grave is marked as Benjamin Oliver Doyle, husband of Della Higgs Doyle and he is buried at the Graysville City Cemetary located in Marshall County West Virginia. Alva's grave is in the same cemetery , findagrave memorial # 80766687.

I forgot to add
I sent a request to the person taking care of Oliver's memorial to transfer to me. When I get a response, I'll ask them to transfer to you instead or will transfer to you if they transfer before they contact me.

RE: Benjamin Oliver Doyle
His findagrave memorial # is 97994923

I don't know anything about him, unfortunately. When I was growing up, I and my cousins (I have no siblings) were told not to ask our grandmother anything about her life, so we didn't. I wish we had. I am not on ancestry.com but I am on familysearch.org and wikitree. The link I gave you to the West Virginia online Vital Statistics should be able to pull up his death certificate. It's where I found his and Della's marriage certificate and the death certificates of the boys.

RE: Benjamin Oliver Doyle
Oh, by all means keep him. I didn't know he was a relative of yours. Do you know who was his son Alva's mother? Alva died in a house fire in 1922, along with his brother Benjamin Oliver and my great grandmother, Rachel Evelyn Graham McBride. The story of what happened is on her gravesite memorial in findagrave. I don't think my grandmother was his mother because he was around 13 when he died and my grandmother didn't marry the senior Benjamin until 1918 or 1919. They were together just long enough to produce a son, little Benjamin. However, the article identifies him as James Oliver Doyle and as around 12 years old. Rachel McBride's memorial # is 76876636. Alva's gravesite is listed on findagrave but not Benjamin's, probably because his death certificate only names him as Benjamin Oliver. And I guess because my grandmother was already a widow at the time of their deaths, he is not listed as the father and my grandmother is listed by her maiden name of Higgs. Their death certificates can be found at http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_select.aspx
