Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my genealogy for many years and now have over 22,000 people in my database and in a private genealogy website.

I am a former Navy Nurse, civilian nurse, nurse educator, airline pilot and diving instructor. I am still a photographer & do some tutoring in addition to my genealogy work. I enjoy walking cemeteries and taking photos for you.

I have found thousands of relatives and ancestors who were murdered in the Holocaust. I am entering them, one by one, and so far have created over 2,400 of their memorials, more than 1500 in Auschwitz alone! They are separated in my virtual cemeteries by camps, and I also created a virtual cemetery for the children, which has over 400 children listed so far. I would be honored if you would stop by to visit them when you are able. I ask only that you refrain from leaving Christian tokens or wording. Thank you so much.

Feel free to add photos to my memorials any time, as long as you have taken them yourself and have not copied them from obituaries. Thanks!!

I am happy to make additions, corrections and family links, and am always grateful for additional information you can send. Please send them using the EDIT feature on the memorial page. I will act on all additions, etc. within 24 hours, if possible.

I would so appreciate if you would stop by my beloved dad's and mom's memorials and leave a token so I know you've been there. My mom has only been in heaven a short time. Thank you so much to those who have already visited them. I have also made virtual cemeteries for my 5 wonderful fur babies and 2 special cousins. They would love to see you too. I miss them all so much. Thank you.

I would like to thank every one of you for visiting my family members & friends. It truly means so very much to me to see all your tokens and notes. You are a very special group of people and I am so grateful to have met you.

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Joseph & Elizabeth Long
Ok Sue. I will look for Elizabeth or Joseph's death certificate whenever I can get to the library to use Ancestry. Maybe it will help someone even if it wasn't my family.

Joseph Long 97334714 & Elizabeth #97334723
Hi Sue~

Actually, the birth and death dates have to be wrong too, because Donald Gough apparently took the dates from the Pennsylvania Long family tree (he left a flower token with the dates in 2008).

I am waiting for the cemetery to call back. They couldn't find a record of Joseph and Lizzie buried at the new location in Stonewall Gardens! I wanted his year of death. I think I know who these people are now (from some quick searching of Fairfax area folks and their marriages). I just want to verify.

So I would never have thought these people were on my family tree if he hadn't updated the memorials with incorrect birth & death dates. They matched the PA Longs exactly.

Sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. It's hard to hear a tone of voice on email. I meant to ask what documentation there is for this burial. It doesn't seem possible to me for this to be the Joseph Long who died in 1804.
I sent the same message to the two people who made duplicate memorials for Joseph Long. I hope all three of you aren't mad at me!

Can you explain to me how Joseph Long and his wife are buried in VA when his will was probated on Nov. 5, 1804, in Huntingdon County, PA? (Will book 1 page 264)
This will specifically names "the children of my first wife Mary: Anna, Barbara, Mary, and Eve." And also "Children born of my second wife Elizabeth: Joseph, Magdalena, Catharine, Christian, Susanna, David, Abraham, and Esther."
He was obviously living in PA when he died and the codicil to his will makes it clear his wife also died there prior to him.

I was in the Navy from 1977-2004, retired from BUMED. How long were you in and where did you serve?
