I have been researching my genealogy for many years and now have over 14,000 people in my database and in a private genealogy website.|
I am a former Navy Nurse (Vietnam Era), civilian nurse, nurse educator, airline pilot and diving instructor. I am still a photographer & do some tutoring in addition to my genealogy work. I enjoy walking cemeteries and taking photos for you.
I have found thousands of relatives and ancestors who were murdered in the Holocaust. I am entering them, one by one, and so far have created over 2,250 of their memorials, more than 1400 in Auschwitz alone! They are separated in my virtual cemeteries by camps, and I also created a virtual cemetery for the children. I would be honored if you would stop by to visit them when you are able. I ask only that you refrain from leaving Christian tokens or wording. Thank you so much.
Feel free to add photos to my memorials any time, as long as you have taken them yourself and have not copied them from obituaries. Thanks!!
I am happy to make additions, corrections and family links, and am always grateful for additional information you can send. Please send them using the EDIT feature on the memorial page. I will act on all additions, etc. within 24 hours, if possible.
I would so appreciate if you would stop by my beloved dad's memorial and leave a token so I know you've been there. Thank you so much to those who have already visited him. I have also listed four of my special animal babies & two very special cousins; they would love to see you too. I miss them all. Thank you so very much.
I would like to thank every one of you for visiting my family members & friends. It truly means so very much to me to see all your tokens and notes. You are a very special group of people and I am so grateful to have met you.
In my first virtual cemetery are the children, spouses, and siblings of our Find a Grave family members who have birthdays or Angel Days in September. I hope you will honor them with your kind visits and notes. Below are additional special people to remember in September. I am grateful for your visits.
Special September Birthdays
11: Molly the Comforting Dog
15: Rhonda's Mom
26: Saralyn's Mom
Special September Angel Days:
11: My hero cousin Jeremy
Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Hope that all is well with you and yours...yes, I always hope that the little heart will make a page stand out; one of the repeat comments that I hear is that the list scans, even at 40 names a page, are mind numbing, sometimes. =( That's why I am trying to 'quarter off' my sponserships, as well, and give them each their own little virtual cemetery...even the hearted pages can blur together after too many in a row. Anyhow, we're at dr. stuff constantly right now, but always thinking of you and others on here - been a long time since I heard from a few folks so I need to drop them notes. =) Take Care and stay in touch - Hugs, RCP and Gannon Blue
Thanks for remembering the kids. Means a lot.
Have a good weekend.

I live in Pittsbrgh, PA. My grandmother, her parents (Siegmund's sister Seraphina), and her sisters escaped Tilburg to England and then the US the day the Netherlands was invaded by the Nazi's. After the war the parents and sisters went back the Netherlands and eventually Israel. My grandmother stayed in New York with her husband and daughters. Eventually they moved to Pittsburgh.
Do you mind if I ask how you are connected? My grandmother's ancestors are from all over the Netherlands. Other primary surnames that appear in my Dutch tree are -
Polak, Lob, Benjamins, Levisson, de Jongh, van Rijn, Wing, van Lier, Frankfort, de Mets-Maarssen, Charlevil, Boas and maybe a few others I am forgetting.
I have found that all of my various branches intertwine in various ways. I always say that all Dutch Jews are connected to each other multiple ways. I even ended up finding out a close friend is my 10th cousin.
Thank you So much for your thoughtfulness and kindness in visiting our Brad ~ so sweet of you, thanks again ~ Shirleen
