I am a genealogist, family Historian. My main interests are locating my ancestors and writing websites. We have a group on Yahoo 13 years old now called the MatneyForum-subscribe@yahoogroups.com Please enter how you are related to the Matney surname to be approved. we have many seasoned genealogists and family historians there. We have a great deal information of Matney and all other allied related names to share. I am in Oregon off grid and we love it. Life in the simple lane after 40 years working is a nice change to retire too. If you have a request in the local Christmas Valley, Oregon area you may make a request.
Other interests 14 years with rootsweb running 34 groups 14 years with Us Gen web 5 Oregon Co's 14 years having several Ancestry message boards. 14 years Oregon State Grange 6 th degree. I Have over 60 years of Matney genealogy collections from many historians. I really give the FAG volunteers a great hand for all they do. I know what it is to drive many miles and picture cemeteries and upload them. I have also done this over the years and pictured many for people who could net get to those locations. Good work find a grave people ;) I don't need to make requests for transfers to help sites, only the few I did request are either direct family or a family I have spent 14 years in research and had planed to upload that. Some of those requests were refused. But it wont hurt the data I have, its still available to those direct relations. I am enjoying my retirement as a sort of new age pioneer, off grid, hey - its a 25 round trip drive just to check the mail. We found agates, arrowheads and fossils here. Dan Matney

 | William Henry Rogers Dan, I was at the memorial rededication ceremony when the civil war reenactors were there to redidicate the memorial for William Henry Rogers. Today, I went back to the cemetery and found that the base of his monument is falling apart. It doesn't appear to be vanalisim, but perhaps the wrong choice in mortar or concrete. Regardless, I didn't know who to notify so I'm sending you this message. If you want photos, I will be happy to take some and email them to you so you can see what I'm talking about. My email is rebelron911@hotmail.com

The picture you added to this grave, is a picture of his daughter and her husband. It is a picture of my Great-Grandparents, Elizabeth [Lizzie] Dora [Miller] Harris and Clement Laird Harris. Amza Clovis Harris [grandfather] was one of thier sons, born April 24, 1901. Thank you for all your research and time... Can I ask you where you found the picture and your information on who it might be. There may be more photos that I have not seen. Thank you, Kitty Harris Fairview, MO.Added by Kitty on Jun 30, 2012 10:13 PM | | | JFI

 | Michael Miller I am a relative, but not a descendant (Michael's brother Jacob was my ancestor). If you are a direct descendent, I would be happy to transfer. With such a common name, the Miller family can be difficult to research. You can find all the information from findagrave plus more at the Miller Family website run by Eric Davis. All my information is posted there as well. The direct website for Michael Miller is: http://www.frontierfamilies.net/family/Miller/C6/E1MM.htm
and you can navigate around from there by clicking on ancestors at the top or children at the bottom.

 | Erbaugh Cemetery Dan and Cindy, I forgot to mention to you that I surveyed the Erbaugh Cemetery back in the early 2001-2003 time period. If you would like, I could send you my survey of the cemetery which includes locations of all of the stones in the cemetery. Please let me know if you would like a copy and I will send it to your email. Always, Curtis
