Linda Neal
Family History Information
Hi David - My name is Linda Neal. I am a distant cousin. Lester and Marie Palmer are my grandparents; I am their daughter, Kathy Anderson's, daughter. Sarah Delana Hart and Emroy Delroy Palmer would be my great-great grandparents. I am very new to geneology and am trying to get "proof" to join the daughters of the American revolution (DAR). I have the book of our family history; Genealogical History of Lovira Hart, Sr. by Hildred J. Hart. I know I would qualify for DAR membership traced to Dr. Elihu Hart; however, I need "proof" - copies of birth/death/marriage certificates. I'm not having much luck on line. We have cousins in Oregon that appeared to have joined DAR, and they have info in their databanks to Lovira Hart, Jr., so I need to come up with information on Sarah Delana Hart/Emroy Delroy Palmer, as well as my great-grandfather, Edward Lovira Palmer/Mable Townsend. Do you know if anyone in the family has any of this info they might share with me? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the pictures of the graves --It was so kind of you to post. My email is - Thanks, Linda Neal

RE: Gravestone Photos
I'm sorry I don't at this time. If someone like me was taking pictures this summer, we post in the winter months. Put a picture request in and maybe someone has done that cemetery this summer. I took a couple thousand pictures this summer but, in Oneida and Herkimer counties.

RE: Re. Sarah Delana Hart Palmer
Love the pictures! You did a great job with the memorials. There is one spelling error though that you may want to correct. The village of Reese is spelled with an S instead of a C. Thank you for letting me know they were finished so I could view them. I appreciate you taking the time to contact me.

Great job on the memorial for your Grandpa. He sounded like a wonderful human being. I am glad you found this on find a grave! I will be looking forward to reading Grandma's memorial.

RE: Memorial Transfer
I am honored to have the opportunity to create their memorials. I hope that you enjoy your membership to Find A Grave as much as I have.

You are most welcome......Tunie

RE: Memorial Transfer

You are most welcome for the transfer of your parent's memorials. Your father was our SS teacher for several years at First Baptist. I created the memorials to honor their memories and was hoping a relative would want them transferred where, I think, they rightfully belong.

I see that you are new to this website and may I say welcome to one of the best on the 'net. It has helped me greatly in my quest to complete my "tree".

Regards, Tunie

RE: Newell Hart - Tuscola Township Cemetery
David - Very impressive, you don't look like a newbie to me. It's always so great to have more information about the individual, it personalizes the memorial if you will. Guess I'm kind of a nut about Find A Grave. I was able to unite Newell with his family but it's the exception.

I have a special attachment to Veterans, go out of my way to photograph military markers. Not too long ago I started virtual cemeteries for each war and I try to remember them all on military holidays like today. My mom always called today Armistice Day so this year I found a poppy picture and made a special "flower" to leave all my vets.

One day someone like you might write to me asking for a transfer of their uncle or great grandfather's memorial. It is my hope that when they first see the memorial, it will warm their heart to know their ancestor wasn't forgotten. See, nutty, right?

Anyway, Find A Grave is a great web site in general and a fantastic source for amateur genealogists like myself. It's become a second hobby for me, I have photos from five cemeteries that I shot a couple weeks ago, heaven only knows when I'll get them cleaned up and ready for upload. If I can ever help with anything, ask away. Enjoy! -Nancy

Newell Hart - Tuscola Township Cemetery
Hi David - Happy to transfer a memorial to a relative. Don't know if there's a right or wrong way to ask for a transfer, but the easiest way for the memorial originator to get the job done is if you use the edit link on the memorial. Gets done even faster if you remember to include your own Find A Grave ID #, took me awhile to figure that out when I asked to maintain memorials. In my dreams I'd memorize the darned number so I wouldn't have to keep looking it up! Take care - Nancy
